I like this game but if your not in a guild and you are a solo player you cannot finish some quests because you have to be in a group. Why not create a scaled down version of dungeons for solo players or offer a choice of npc assistance. There are other games out there that offer this and it would be nice if New World could give us this option. It’s gets frustrating trying to find a group in LFG. I can player other games where I don’t have to set on my thumbs waiting for others. Just a suggestion, thanks.
If I wanted to solo content that was designed for multiple players I would simply out level the content and come back to it later. Not sure how that works in New World but I don’t think designing a single player option is a great choice of money or time for a game designed to be an MMO.
And I believe I should not have to wait for more than 15 minutes to get into a group to run a dungeon. Like anyone else my time is valuable to me and there needs to be more options.
I believe this is a perfectly reasonable request in 2021.
Why do gaming companies not learn from gaming companies? Retention is more important that recruitment.
You realise you are playing an MMO right? Massive MULTIPLAYER Online game. There are plenty of solo games out there and if you choose to just to solo content that’s your choice. Imo, don’t ask developers to use their resources on solo content for a multiplayer game that already has plenty of solo content at the expense of more multiplayer content for a multiplayer game.
dungeons aren’t a requirment for mmo’s.
also having them be a part of the main quest line is really a mistake especially for future potential players who will likely struggle to find players to join them.
and as WoW has shown they’re not very social activities either.
I’d love to see a solo option for the main quest required dungeons at least (or rather a way to skip them entirely).
I’m not sure I’d want a solo option for the optional dungeons though. I certainly wouldn’t mind to be able to solo them, but I don’t think it’s really necessary.
they could just lead you to the entrance and mention that you might wanna check it out(optional) and continue on to the next part of the story.
I agree with you to an extent. However, there is MSQ content that requires expeditions, and expeditions require 3 people just to enter. A compromise of just removing those restrictions is not unreasonable.
That said, they are posting requests for features that they, as a customer, would like to see - which is exactly what the “Game Feedback” section is for. Telling people not to post their feature requests here is asinine.
The thing is, you don’t need to sit near the entrance unless you are the key person. I usually clear quests while looking for groups in the meantime, and once the dungeon is done, you get teleported exactly where you left
