when people think of games like WoW, and other rng loot based games, its all about that rare drop. This becomes less frustrating and more exciting/fun when the rare drop is some sort of cosmetic instead of gear. Because only people that want it can grind for it and it doesnt affect game quality. Mounts arent in the game Yet but this system can and SHOULD be adopted when mounts are a thing.
People love the pets that you can put in your house, so why not make some really cool ones (ones worth grinding for plz lol), make them super rare and make them acquirable from the Final boss? This way, every dungeon has its own purpose regardless of where you are in the game. Giving people something to strive for and begging to the rng gods is probably the most fun part of an mmo, it gives the game some sort of identity and keeps people going.
An idea I had was making the pet a miniature version of the final bosses. Just imagine pulling up to a house and seeing smaller versions of the bosses standing in the front yard like trophies. But I think it would be cooler if theyre not statue like, but living and breathing (like the actual pets)
This also potentially solves another issue. Not having enough low lvl players in a server sometimes makes it harder for newer players to get the early dungeon experience like we did. I dont know about yall but I dont think Id like this game if I got to amrine for the first time and I wasnt able to enter it because theres no one to do it with. I think a lot of lvl 60s, especially at the launch of this update, would be queuing up for lower dungeons which is always a good look for newer players.
