Dunning–Kruger effect is a serious affliction here

You speak the truth. And it isn’t even fighting over the baroness, it’s just whoever snipes it.

It is funny here. For example, people who try to kill a life staff user will complain they’re invincible, life staff users retort they die all the time. Then the odd one posts a vid showing how they tanked 10 people. The first crowd goes nuts over it, without even noticing it was in OPR, they had Baroness buff, they were food stacking, and had the OPR foods, which pretty much make anyone able to 1vs10, as long as the opponents aren’t that good or doing the same.

People miss out on the details. They won’t test the weapon/kit themselves, they’ll just call it as they see it without much thought. Others will jump on the bandwagon. If they get killed by a specific weapon enough times they’ll complain.

Bingo! Too bad so many people don’t get that. It takes so long to get a t3 command post solo.

So following this logic a game released is always 100% perfectly balanced and nothing is ever wrong with it.

I mentioned the Dunning Kruger effect when it comes to those people thinking that you can fix every issue this game has within a week by just doing it.

It seems like this forum is full of people who neither have experience in software development nor in high level skill combat.

Oh and I forgot all the business specialists who know that the game is already a big failure revenue wise.

Seems like “Mount stupid” her is fuller than Zugspitze, Matterhorn or Mont Blanc on a August saturday

I don’t disagree but where was OPR mentioned before you brought it up?

I am 100% certain that the Dunning–Kruger effect does not apply to me.

First rule of Dunning-Kruger Club is that you don’t know you’re in Dunning-Kruger Club.

pretty funneh coming from the guy who was going to quit the game because he got killed by a rapier

looks like we got a .2 kd player here with a .15 kd player agreeing with him.

yeah that was a serious post and not at all satire.

A what now? Kd? Kill death? I don’t PvP in this game so it makes no sense anyway to me

Someone stole my comment…

what setup(s) do you run?

this is an informational post,

The OP has a serious case of their own post.

The Dunning-Kruger has been proven wrong on many occasions with Psychologists.

The primary use since it was disproven is: Quote: " The Dunning-Kruger effect is commonly invoked in online arguments to discredit other people’s ideas. Endquote.

ALL the major Psychology white papers discredit the theory and flatly state it is wrong.

This is used by people that are unfamiliar with Psychology in an attempt to support there own uninformed or twisted view on a subject. The OP should have read why the theory was discredited before tossing it around.

Ugh. This is why I hate PvP and PvE being so integrated… what is harmful in one is helpful in another.

I see many complaining about food buffs stacking. I get the complaint from the PvP side (though I don’t necessarily agree with it). The problem is, if they fix this, then any solo PvE is going to involve a lot of waiting around for health to regen. It takes a long time to regen thousands of HP! It’s boring! But if you stack the food, it goes by relatively quickly.

I, for one, am not partial to standing around waiting when playing a game.

are you sure, because its in full effect here.

it also hasnt been disproven at all, it is still a theory, which is ridiculous since it is easily observable in real life. looks like YOU are suffering from it, since you obviously arent as well read or smart as you think you are.

im guessing youre one of those who throws around ‘settled science’ when referencing climate change.

Hahaha, I was thinking this since alpha, less about weapons and combat and more about the game design experts and god level coders whining on the forums.
