yes, as i dont understand what you mean.
do you want people that queue as a duo to only be matched with with a 3 people team or with 3 different solo people?
Duo’s should be counted as a premade and queued in the premade queue

I guess the question is, Is it more fair for a team of 2 people to match with a team of 3 or a completely random team to match against a team of 2?
In my opinion, a group should q with groups so that If you’re going to make a group you might as well take it all the way. The only reasons to duo in arena are for the familiarity/communication advantage or if you only happen to have one friend/company member/whoever online.
I say the same stuff over and over, but I’m having fun.
Duos should fight other Duos. If there are no other duos they should have to wait.
If that’s not possible, then duoing shouldn’t be allowed, and trios should be the only option for people wanting to group. I suppose the OPs idea would be fine too.
This issue should be addressed before leaderboards are released because people will abuse duoing to climb the ranks.

Ok so what do you do with the third slot? Drag some random solo queuer into a 3v2+1?
Is that not worse than 2+1vs2+1?
As been pointed out 2v3 doesn’t work. But you should just not be able to queue duo. Just make solo queue or team queue only (3).

it would encourage people to form complete groups or just solo.
better to suck for one on the team of two than suck for 3 randoms, but it’s still a problem.

Right. Like I said before, it would encourage people to for a full group or solo.
I don’t really think that 3 different q’s for 3v3 would work.
If they made entirely separate arenas though…(1v1, 2v2, 5v5, etc)
On second thought, just make arena unqueueable if you have 2 people in group. Make a prompt that says ‘need another player to queue for this’.

2(1) v 3 isnt logical but 1(2) v 2(1) is logical?
So if I queue with a friend just to have a good time, I get matched with a 3 squad of sweats?
They should just make a 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, 4v4 and 5v5 queue system for Arenas. To do so, they would need to have many more Arena maps.
