Today I bought 2 copies of New World Deluxe.
I wanted to play the game with my wife, this didn’t happen.
- The game kept crashing to the desktop on my PC (RTX 3080)
- After two clean installs I swapped my RTX 3080 to my old GTX 1080Ti and I was able to stay on the queue for a long time!
- Bought the game for my wife. Downloaded, installed the game. It does not run on her computer (crashes immediately).
- Clean install wife’s PC, game still does not run.
- Wife has an I9-7900X ES (Engineering Sample) which is, totally incompatible with EAC’s brutal driver trickery.
- Ask Steam for a refund since I wasn’t able to get past the Queue/Tutorial. Steam refuses my refund because I “played” 4 hours.
- Game won’t run on wife’s PC unless I spend 900$+ on a new CPU so I can make EAC’s boys happy.
Bought two copies of the game. Can’t play. Can’t get a refund. EAC won’t fix their bad Ring 0 Manipulation, won’t be able to play unless I buy a new CPU.
Now I have 2 copies of a game I can’t play.
Nice way to burn some cash quickly. I know I won’t get any support.
[EAC] has one of the worst support I’ve ever came across.
[Valve] Will only send automated messages saying “no”.
[Amazon] Will probably shift the guilt to Valve or EAC.
[New World Reddit] - I got banned for making a post saying (Does not run on my CPU, anyone with the same issue?) [???]
What have we become?
So I will have to find other ways.
