Dupers are circumventing the disabled TP/Player trades via company treasuries

So, I heard that those duping (this recent incident) were circumventing the ability to trade gold by being in the same company as the person they were trying to trade with, having one person deposit the gold into the company treasury, and then the other person withdrawing the gold. In my company we tested this (I deposited 1 gold and our company leader withdrew 1 gold) and it worked completely fine.

So yeah good luck on tracking all the duped gold now

Cool so officially disabled trade only punishes the normal players now? That’s lit as the kids say.

Lol sounds about right. The players doing this are literally 3 steps ahead of AGS everytime it seems like

Wow, that sounds about right. Dupers, and Exploiters have ample time on their hands to manipulate and exploit the game. Hopefully, some good positive results come out of this latest debacle.

You still can’t move items. Yes, we have always been able to move gold around that way - nothing new or sinister.

That is nothing new and nothing nefarious at it’s core. We use company bank to move money all the time, war payouts, invasion payouts, so I do not think this is the issue. Unless the gold is being taken out of the treasury and somehow is still inside the bank and the individual’s pocket. But I do not think that is the case.

I’m saying this purely in regards to the dupes that occurred yesterday and people being able to xfer wealth. AGS tried to disable all the wealth xfer in the game but forgot to disable this. Or intentionally didn’t since it would really screw over companies paying taxes. Damned either way

They’re not duping gold, they’re duping items. AGS did not say “we want to prevent wealth transfers, so we’re closing the TP and trading”. They’re preventing additional items from being duped. Why is this hard to understand?

They duped the items, posted them all over the TP, and then can trade that gold made on the TP via the above method.

I get the reasoning behind this, but I don’t think the people that duped the items managed to sell them and reach the gold cap in such a short time

I mean idk if you’ve ever accidently posting something like ori ingots/asmodeum/etc. with the decimal place one more spot to the left than you should have but that shit gets bought out near instantly. If there were these items on the TP for 15-20 minutes at a 70% normal TP value I imagine someone could have hit gold cap multiple times.

It is actually pretty easy, since player transactions and tp is disabled the only moved gold comes from companies.

If a company moved little gold, like you did to test, ignore it. If they moved several thousand gold, while transactions are disabled, flag them all as potential exploiters and ban if need be.

I hope full companies get banned

this is actually pretty dumb thing to do because I am fairly confident every single gold trade or transfer to or from a treasury is logged. This actually would make it easier to not only catch the actual perpetrators but their accomplices. People don’t just give away large sums of money and the dupers are working with such large sums they set off red flags.

Get ready for the flood of - I was banned wrongfully, my friend was banned wrongfully, we’ve never done anything bad. We didn’t know. Posts.
