Dynasty Keg Event Bug

I don’t think it is the gem because this was happening the last time Dynasty was on mutation which I believe was just before the rune glass. I could be wrong.

But I am a dps and when 1 by 1 keep breaking off to attack the keg, gets a hit on, runs back to the tank only to break away again 1 sec after (this is what they all are doing) it makes it extremely difficult hence why a lot of people just give up which I don’t blame them because either AGS needs to fix this bug or give the kegs a lot more health to be more manageable.

Can we please get an orange reply on this subject?

Still no word yet but the other Dynasty bug got acknowledged right away.

Just ran 4 more M10 Dynas all with the same group. First 2 went flawless, barrels werent touched once for either event on both runs. Last 2 runs were a complete shit fest at the barrels, mobs 100% dropping and running to the barrels regardless of taunts, being hit, and showing you have threat. Devs need to respond to this asap. If this is intended, they really need to rethink their shit. you do NOT put something like threat into the game and then tell tanks to go fuck themselves and make their job pointless. Didnt bring enough CC weapons? Yea get fucked. A run should not be dictated based off your shit random RNG event that nobody asked for and nobody likes

Yeah it is like rng now on what type of mobs you will get for the keg part.

Sad that AGS can’t even respond on this since it has changed since last time Dynasty was on mutation and lots off complaints on this and posts and even in-game everyone I have ran an m10 Dyn with have said the same thing.

Yep keg portions of this instance are absolutely annoying. Needs to be addressed in some way to be more straight forward and act in a logical manner.

Couldnt agree more. Kind of pathetic we havent received any word from a mod yet

I’ll try it again tonight but its so tilting to lose to this over and over.

I pop defiant stance and as soon as i lose agro with that i pop beserk and as soon as i lose agro with that i shield bash everyone in the clump and by that stage defiant stance is back but still somehow they give no fucks about me and run off to the barrel (even with the taunt symbol on their head). I am only using pristine cut carnelian, not the runeglass one. Tried it with WH and GA (just to contain) but no luck, hopefully tonights run will be ok

there are two options here:

  1. it was unintentional, which proves that AGS are way over their heads since its taking them ages to fix this.

  2. It was intentional, which proves that AGS are way over their heads since a mechanic that is no fun is a bad mechanic, there are other ways of increasing difficulty withouth being abnoxious.

In my honest opinion i think it was intentional because according to 1.7.1 patchnotes:
"EXPEDITIONS

  • Dynasty Shipyard: Raised Keg health to make defend objectives less difficult to pass in high level mutations."

Yet they don’t mention anything about the same issue with tree in Garden of Genesis.

You might recall that some time ago skills such as Life Staff’s Beacon, or Greataxe’s Gravity Well where bugged, if they didn’t hit a player or an NPC the object the projectile was supposed to create would not appear, this bug was reported on the PTR, yet it was pushed on live servers on 1.6, and wasn’t fixed on 1.6.1, wasn’t fixed on 1.6.2 weeks later, it was half fixed in 1.6.3 a month later, a thing that shouldn’t have been pushed to live due to being gamebreaking was half fixed after a month, if it where accidentally (LMAO) pushed to Live Servers it should have been fixed within hours by hotfix, but no, A FUCKING MONTH.

And why do I keep saying half fixed? Because still today, four months later, in Barnacles and Black Powder Expedition on Admiral Blackpowder Boss THIS ISSUE IS STILL PRESENT.

What do we learn from this? that these people have no idea what they’re doing.

AGS, PLEASE DO SELL THE GAME TO A DECENT COMPANY.

Okay I thought it was just me but I noticed that too in Genesis this last time.

Ive met a tank once and he said to let the keg explode first and respawn it fast to fix the mobs. We did the dungeon in 26 mins on M10. Can someone try and test it for a possible work around while they fix this. If it doesn’t work then just grab the GA/Hammer users to cc the mobs.

I’m pretty sure the trigger for mobs to all of a sudden disengage and attack the keg is whenever their aggro target changes. The hp buff for the keg did nothing. It’s still easy to have it destroyed. The only fix is to let them break it and then the second time mobs will just walk slowly and you can kill them way easier this way.

The same thing happens with the Azoth tree at Genesis, like people mentioned above. Instead of buffing the hp of the object (which clearly doesn’t do much), please try to fix that AI aggro problem.

As a tank it happened to me as well, they had agro on me and all of a sudden they ran back to the keg, I was just laughing about it with my friend about the weird behaviour

I forgot to mention it happened yesterday, so it’s still not fixed.

This did it on the first keg. 2nd one didn’t. There were times it took us 5-8 tries.

We have done that too but the problem is, not everyone brings a GA nor should they have to when it is a bug. But even when we had 3 grav wells there were times it still reset.

I’ve figured out why the mobs attack the keg multiple times, When ever the mob changes it’s agro to another player it goes for the keg first before attacking the player. for an example if a mob is fighting the healer then the tank uses Defender’s Resolve to take agro, the mob goes for the keg before the tank. this doesn’t happen though if the mob switches agro while stunned.

Its not a bug its a legit mechanic. We ran 25 M10s easiely idk why everyone is having such a hard time. They already increase the barrel health and all it is at the end of the day is a DPS check.
