Why didn’t you include support for proton EAC? It’s been out for a while now, all you had to do was allow it, and build your EAC with it. It wasn’t even something complicated…
Hopefully this egregious oversight will be fixed in the future, but there are apparently no plans to add EAC support for Linux at this time. See screenshot from Amazon support in this thread: Please add Easy Anticheat support for Linux!
(Also, EAC linux support is still new… It was announced 5 days ago. Epic Online Services launches Anti-Cheat support for Linux, Mac, and Steam Deck - Epic Online Services )
it’s been announced for 5 days, but it’s been out for a lot longer than that. It’s not like companies go “hmm, I think we will support linux today” and poof it’s done. Also, we aren’t talking about some mom and pop shop here (though this launch makes you wonder). Amazon has the resources, it would have been a trivial add.
I’m hoping that once launch calms down after a few weeks that they’ll enable it, so they can spare more resources to monitor it.
It would be great to have compatibility with the Steam Deck
Any news on this so far?
No news whatsoever.
EAC now supports wine and proton, AGS, please update your sdk and enable wine support!
