Honestly, you guys just suck. No question about it. I was holding my head in frustration watching over half of you dorks not even hitting him, backing away like incompetent goons in an action movie while the hero knocks you guys out one at a time. You don’t chain CC, you back away instead of trying to put out consistent damage, you guys are hardly healing yourselves, your healer has no idea what they’re doing. This video’s honestly embarrassing for you.
I’m the person in this video.
Just stumpled across this post here on forums.
I’ve been asked by multiple people on server to show my PoV.
So I’ve uploaded 2 videos on youtube, for anyone curious.
Regards Invis
If you actually seen the video, You would know that both orb of protection and Beacon is healing you outside the circle. The healing buff is still on you, even if you leave the circle. So I can just shoot both skill on the ground, and I will have them with me the entire time. No circle needed. Better yet, shoot at your allies, and they and everyone around them gets the healing buff. They all do. You are blatantly ignoring this point. I. Do. Not. Need. To. Be. InSide. The. Circle. To. Receive. Their. Benefits. So even IF I get knock out of the aoe, I am still being healed. If not me, then someone’s else’s heals.
So you admit, in your own words, that the healer in op’s video, should not survive such encounter. The damage would be too much. But that’s not what’s happening. The guy is still surviving lmao. Realistically, this healer should be out of mana from the heal spam he is throwing, or he should have easily caved to pressure, Crowd control or no. But he is build right. He knows what he is doing. Will he die eventually? Of course he will. But that shouldn’t be the case. Realistically, That healer should have died within two second of being beaten down by 10 players lmao.
What life staff lacks in raw power, REALLY makes up in the multiplier life staff can offer. You obviously not understanding this, or severely underestimating how strong those multipliers are. There are a lot of weapon and armor perks, a lot of weapon skill passives that will turn a dinky 1500 base healing from Embrace light, into 7k worth of healing. Maybe even more. It’s not exactly hard to get the gear you need. There’s a life staff legendary called the invader unholy staff that grant both blessed and revitalizing Beacon that’s a huge healing boost right there.
And how would you suggest that to someone who don’t have a knockback? A way to cc? Not everyone is gonna run hammer, nor should they. And not all weapons have any cc capabilities other than snare. What tactic you want them to employ here? Other than using hammer of course, which is the only weapon beside sword and shield that has a knock back? How about outpost rush? Or wars? You think multiple healers are just gonna put one sacred Ground on point and call it a day? No, they’re going to spread it around enough so there are multiple sacred Ground. That all offer 50% more healing to whoever stands in it.
I’ve watched OP’s video and now the player in question posted two of his own videos just above your own post. He’s up against actual goons lmao. Notice how he’s free the ENTIRE time, no CC, even up against fellow hammer users? That’s because they’re all incompetent, and you’re making excuses to get the life staff nerfed, a weapon you can use yourself.
Sadly, that is the truth. No exaggeration, No lies. Hard to believe unless you see it with your own eyes. That’s why I hack away trees and mine metals instead of fighting in outpost rush mode.
I’m full light build with fire staff. I have all of my faction armor and weapons. I no joke hit these guys for 400 damage with my heavy attacks and their health doesn’t go down at all.
I’ve seen the video too. One of the HUGE Thing I notice is how little damage he is taking from other players, while being able to dish it out much better. In the second video, around 1:38. Notice how they ALL got him locked down? That should have ended him right there, but it didn’t. He was averaging around 300-400 damage taken per hit. Even as low as 200, which I see quite often. Plus, he was also regenerating health too! So he got the sustain while people are wailing at him lmao. While at the same time, This dude is dishing out 2k damage, 1k physical, and 1k focus. You can Clearly see how broken his build is. And what? I’m making excuses? If his video is proof that people are being bad, idk what to tell you. And I ask that anyone sensible to actually to look more closely. Try to find some of the oddities in this guy’s video. If you’re going full str, you shouldn’t be dealing 200-500 damage. That’s stupid.
Totally balanced to have to force 10 people to work together with that level of precision to kill ONE person. Shits busted my dood. You likely run this same build hence your hesitation to see the truth.
10 players being unable to kill one that is rolling their face across their keyboard is clearly a case of get gud. If you weren’t trash, you would be coordinating your stuns, collectively timing your skills in perfect synergy to beat this one plater. Blech, just uninstall now!
/S
You just played the poorly, dude. I play heavy armor healer, and while I acknowledge there are some issues with it, what you showed in the video is that you don’t know how to deal with a healer. CC him, get him out of the circle. Bow/Rapier is fine IF you have the skill level for it, but you will NEVER be useful in taking out a healer with that build.
HOW SO? im contantly blighted right after i drink a potion.
that same level of precision is called being a good pvp that has played together for over 20 years.
target call
focus target
rinse and repeat
that tactic isnt made for 1 alpha player, its basic tactics.
its not lifestaff-- that person may be glitches/bugs
Do you even play the game? Beacon does NOT give you HoT outside of the circle.
What “allies” could you possibly have in 1v10 situation?
What’s happening is either exploits or a staged fight.
As opposed to some other weapon that doesn’t have corresponding damage modifiers?
Not all builds are effective against a specific target 1v1, you’ll have even more trouble trying to kill a fully Con specced tank in 1v1. By the same token either tank or a healer would have trouble killing a DPS, who can simply run away whenever they choose to.
That “fantasy” is being used in wars on a daily basis. If healers were as invincible as you think, the only thing necessary to defend a territory would be to place a few healers in each cap point and call it a day.
u clearly have never fought lifestaff heavy with firestaff xd
Thank you for these awesome videos!
I think this can be a viable playstyle, where you are not the healer so a healer boosting you from a range. So people can focus the healer first, then kill you. That would be absolutely acceptable.
But when the healer is the tank xD We see what is happening
Ok, So apparently the video I posted wasn’t proof enough? Or did you blatantly ignore it? Alright, let me show you another video, where I keep my beacon buff when I leave circle. And only Beacon.
See it? See the buff that stays with you after leaving circle? Or are you going to ignore that one too?
I am talking in general. Healing is a problem in general, for open world, outpost rush, Solo, and wars. Healing is too overtuned.
Exploit. I won’t argue with that.
Most weapons don’t have any bonus as huge as Life staff. That’s the thing. So many modifier to boost your healing for life staff. Both Armor perk and skills. Most weapons doesn’t even come close.
But that’s the thing. In a balanced game, Overcoming something like that should be possible. If I am a tank, If I am good at managing my skills, my stamina, my potions, ect ect, ect. I should be able to overcome a dps. Like wise with a dps who is trying to fight a tank, or healer. In the past, Elder scrolls online had a good balance. A tank/healer can absorb many things, but they’re limited to their magicka. If they run out, they’re screwed. That SHOULD be the case in new world. Healers SHOULD Run out of Mana VERY quickly due to the heal spam. But sustaining mana in new world is too easy. Extremely easy. The only thing that is limiting you, are cooldowns, and some skills have short cooldowns anyway. So you see people healing against 10 people, while wearing bugged armor set that make them survive for days. If life staff’s healing can’t be nerf, then up the mana cost. Make Mana usage more straining for the user so they CAN’T pull the crap they’re doing now.
You can’t balance for 1v1 and maintain the distinct roles. Essentially, if you nerf defense of a healer or tank, you’ll have to give them offensive boost (otherwise they won’t be able to either defend themselves or kill anything). Fair is fair, right? So, everybody becomes a DPS of slightly different flavor, like in ESO.
You only see that because of bugs / exploits. By the same token, there are currently some exploits that let you get your damage output to ridiculous levels (i.e. hatchet bug), so one can just as easily make the case for nerfing DPS into the ground “because 7k damage per hit is way too much”.
How are you going to run end game PvE content then?
You guys are horrible plain and simple. If you knock him out of his circle with a hammer, or burst him down with a variety of viable waepons he will die. The only thing you’re right about is heavy armor being a bit too strong. It’s only much stronger than the other options because the other options are bugged, if they gave the healing bonus they should give then they would be a bit better. Heavy armor should be tuned down a little though
