As there are a lot of people whining about Light Nerfs to Resilient and Shirking Fort, I decided to post a number of tips that will assist you:
Tip 1:
Switch your Shirking Fortification to Elemental Aversion, while at the same time changing you Opals to Onyx in Armor. You will have roughly the same overall Resistance as before the nerf.
Tip 2:
Start wearing a Protection Amulet. This often varies from Meta to Meta, so maybe have one for each major type. Many people run Champion’s Amulet as a default, but this tend will change.
Tip 3:
Move up to 150 CON to get the extra Resilient, if you have not already.
Tip 4:
Stop using Runeglass in Armor, and you will gain 2.5-5% Resistances
Tip 5:
Start using Oakflesh and Gemstone Dust more. Healers look at dropping Healing Toast and Mana Potions, if you don’t have space on your bar. Or use Regen/Mana Potions from inventory.
Tip 6:
Skill perks that provide Fority e.g. Fortifying Sacred Ground and those that apply Weaken e.g. Enfeebling Maelstrom will become more critical you have on your Weapon. Similiarly passives and skills that apply Fortify/Weaken will become stronger in general even when not on weapon, and many of these are not really used currently e.g. Enfeebling Poison Shot and Fortifying Whirlwind.
Tip 7:
Change you secondary weapon for a more defensive one, many people run double offensive weapons. Have a dedicate main and secondary might become more common. This can be further strengthen with High Refreshing builds to have more uptime on these defensive abilitiies.
Tip 8:
Start communicating more, play with your allies call for assistance and peels. Also watch out for your allies, and assist them if needed.
Tip 9:
Switch to Stoneform, many Light users run offensive Heartrunes. Or Alternatively switch to the Fortify version of other runes, e.g. Stalwart Vines over Brutal Vines, etc.
Tip 10:
Don’t give up, there are lots of options to still test and discover. This is your chance to break and define a new meta, and provide you skill through these new challenges.
