Easy Tips to compensate for Light Nerfs

75% of player base are PvE focussed and unaffected by these changes.

Competitive PvP companies and players will adapt, and compensate for the nerf.

The only people who might leave the game, are the below average BowPR spammers, which is part of the reason for this nerf tbh.

“Competitive pvp company’s” only Zerg and button mash as heavy/medium builds in wars. This won’t effect them at all. Idk why a majority of people would be playing this game for pve when the pve content is actually terrible in comparison to others. You literally just press left click in a green circled. Game was designed to be a pvp centered game as stated by the devs with pve as an after thought. If anyone actually thinks light armor is op and is actually the best thing you can be using to win they are severely handicapped and cannot be helped. The community is too far gone and the devs can’t take the time and be somewhat good at their own game. The only people that continue to be affected by these bogus nerfs are aggressive good light players which is what the game needs. The issue comes from the scared rats that don’t even get close enough to med/heavy for them to get the chance at killing them. It is promoting people to avoid combat even more and stay at range. It’s not it at all

So first said everyone will leave, now you saying the change won’t affect competitive PvP and will only affect:

So this is a small handful of people, that may leave?

Additionally this is the intended target of this nerf, as you will see that AGS is also nerfing the weapons those players use.

There’s no such thing as competitive pvp atm, you can’t just make a group of players. Why would your intended target of nerfs be to the minority mechanically gifted aggressive light players?!?!

If there is no such a thing, how did you manage to describe how they function in your opinion?

You saw the quotations right

Regardless of what you want to call them, the War community still represents a large portion of any server and they will not leave becasue of this.

Of course they won’t but even they will say how un balanced and trash wars actually are atm. Let’s be real No one actually ENJOYS them anymore. They like the status and rewards not the gameplay slapping dummies and putting up ice walls. Anyways this is now way off topic. Point is no one cares about the heavy bot builds with god mode fortification that literally cannot die vs 50 people in a war but instead some cracked fortnite kid saucing up boomers with arthritis in opr

In the end it will end up with a few simple things. The bulk of the PB will just adapt & modify their builds. The Forum will be on fire over patch notes that aren’t even out yet & throw world ending exaggerations instead of prepping for the update instead.

Nice Post though :+1:
Med & Heavy builds are more fun so all the nerf gonna do is effect the run me to sleep light dps. So really the moral of this soon to be update those who spent rivers of gold on 1 set of SIM pvp gear gonna be forum flaming like no other.

Thank you for this, I laughed so hard.

Throw away your DPS build and become a squishy tank in light armor, definitely a new meta right there. Nice tips, much useful.

How are you throwing away your DPS build? Majority of these changes don’t affect DPS, and you don’t have to implement all of them. I am just give some options, in reality 2-3 changes will probably be enough.

Just curious, why would they add the runeglass gems only for an entire weight class to not be able to use them?

Well Healers dnt use them currently on Live and ever since release of RG. The devs stated they are not meant to replace normal T5 gems, but be a lateral alternative.

And I am not saying that the you have to do these tips. There are a number of small adaptations you can do if you struggling after the patch, try one or two. If you are not struggling then u dont have to do it.

Its all part of testing and evolving.

Not making much sense with this post unless the “tips” are intended for fresh start kids. Trading out Shirking Fort for Aversion is goofy, as if I can control how many Muskets or Bows decide to pester me for 5 seconds as opposed to survive close encounters with GS “players” skating across the terrain to lunge 5-6 meters after an ability is cast or launching a 5 meter heavy attack that will cut me down for 4-5k health a pop at 15-20% slash resist.

Every light player has had to switch to a high mobility secondary weapon (bye bye Keen Speed VG) with the idiotic melee-hit dodge translation nerf or else every egghead will be able to stick to you like glue. The light armor melee peeps benefitted from the last patch, doubt they are hurting or need tips to play whereas Mages and Healers are due to be most affected.

So only the poor people are screw, also i dont have enough shards as it is to upgrade what im wairing now already…

stamina recovery and health is already must have perk (hope they dont nerf it now). This means ud swap out divine for a protection aka not bis for competitive arena (if there is even such a thing)

200 con light here still get deleted by a maelstrom tho

Again not rich

those fortify dissapear when u swap weapon, aka not very effective. Enfeebling is underwhelming cause u can be one shot before u apply it

Defensive doesnt work in light, u need mobility.

lol maybe, but i play solo

not all light classes have enough burst to not use an offensive heartrune

True

my TIP: lets wait for the actual PTR release notes to draw conclusions

I agree, but the purpose of the post was not to give conclusive answers. It was to counteract all the people saying Light is dead and people leaving, etc.

Many people don’t realise with the limited information released there are already a lot of possibilitys to compensate for the nerf. And when we get more clarified info, it will only increase.

yea who knows they might buff freedom for light armor or something… that would be in line with what they said

A refund…for a game you paid $40 for and now have how many hours played?
