Easy way to make the grit change not feel as bad & offer more build variety

Put the grit perk at 250 con instead of 300.

*Some melee will probably stay at their current melee build and play it at 250/250.

*Some current 300/200 melees will still end up switching and playing another build.

*Makes voidblade a viable dps build w/ grit which will offer a different dynamic towards how you play VG/IG.

*Doesn’t hurt PVE tanks as much as it would at 300.

If you do that, in PVP everyone would have GRIT continuously (meaning everyone who uses strength as an attribute).

And the GRIT is one of the worst things I implement AGS everywhere in the game.
Something so decisive (otherwise they wouldn’t all be crying out for change) it is not something that AGS should apply lightly.

Why would everyone have grit?

Light melee dps builds would still be under 250 con & even medium builds using a greatsword would go for a more dps leaning attribute split over 250 con.

You’d see your average bruiser rn playing their same build but not doing nearly as much dps & the only new build you’d probably be seeing is like a medium spear build w/ 250 con and a split between str/dex & dps voidblade.

Everyone that currently has 300 would be 250 if this was the case and this would be after the weapon damage nerfs they’re applying so you’d be 50 str less and do a lot less damage.

Grits issue was that it was possible to obtain and still be able to output a high amount of dps.

Grit at 250 puts it at a nice in between. You’d have tanky grit builds & hybrid grit builds, but you wouldn’t really have a high dps grit build.

OP is saying to move grit to 250 CON not 250 STR.

This could work both on PvE and PvP, bruiser would be running 250-250 and they could sustain its role on point.

What i don’t get is they done this to strength players but what did you do with dex players and their stamina??? This game is so one sided and it continues going that way

It would just be smarter to nerf the amount of haste dex players can get through passives in their skill trees or make it a little more difficult to achieve. The amount of haste they get combined with how much they could dodge is what makes kiting so easy

You’re right, my fault.

There should be a cap ngl, but not only dex but light weight.
