That idea will solve all headaches with bots doing fishing! Got a chest from fishing? Get a 33% chance to get a boss to fight with! (just make sure it’s soloable and depends on fishing/player level)

seems like they are evolving.
regardless though. i think a fishing mini game/puzzle for fighting sea themed overworld bosses would be stupid fun.
you are out near the sea minding your own business, fishing, then the skies get dark and your line gets pulled out. suddenly from the depts of the shore crawls out a fuck off kraken tentacle trying to drag you in. beat it up for rare items/chests
you fish out on a river and you suddenly spot mud bubbles floating to the surface. you throw your line in and suddenly you pull out a giant enemy crab.
bots aside it would give something more for fishers to do.
The only downside I see with this is…
Bots already know how to pve… so spawning a boss isn’t going to do anything for them but make them turn on the pve aspects of the bot.
In other games they even have bots that can pvp. So… just spawning a mob, then bot kills it… yeah, not gonna work for long.
This is just a bandaid until the bot players buy the combat bot. Or the fishing bot that has the pve capabilities when needed.
An extremely funny solution for this would be to literally throw in a captcha every 1h of fishing. Bots can’t do those. And although it’s immersion breaking… idk what to do lmao.
Simplest solution would be to move reward chests from fishing to higher areas …
Shattered mountain/Ebonscale/Eden/Reekwater
Introduce scaling rewards (gold)
Ebon gets lowest reward …24 gold
Shattered gets highest b… 67 gold
Also remove Trophy fish from lower areas
Real players will level up
By doing this AGS gets more time to detect bots …as they level up and ban them…
Sooner or later cost of buying game copies or game keys will mount up
Captcha? Sorry to say, but they can do it for many years already. Don’t want to promote any of those shit sellers, just google something like “captcha solvers” and ruin your day

Low-level characters can still go in those high-level zones. The bot owners can just escort those fishermen with their other accounts to the location.
Do you know there are even low-level characters that are able to finish the legendary fishing quest that is not even level 60 yet?
spawn a bomb that runs to player and blows up killilng player n 5 seconds if player doesn’t hit random number selected by chest and enter on screen.
Simple to counter ,to fish in each high level zone your character needs to be that level
BTW I finished those quests at 22 only because i knew it could be done as i also did them in beta
