This issue was caused from what I can tell a windows 11 update. I think that this problem results from the new update for TPM that windows 11 is going to use.
So I wouldn’t blame the devs / gms they didn’t do it.
steam updated their stuff and windows update theirs. Can’t blame them for having conflicts with files and other apps / progs.
Also in case you were wondering all PC’s made in the past 5 years should be TPM compatable this means you should be good. Older PC’s will need to find a way to fix this.
Found the below in a Steam discussion form, this totally works! No need to download some rando dll file
1.) Steam Library and right click new world. Navigate to local files and click on browse.
2.) Open easy anti cheat folder. Navigate to certificates. Delete both files in the certificate folder.
3.) Navigate to C:\Windows → Program Files (X86) → Easy Anti Cheat. Delete the second file in that folder.
4.) back to your library, right click new world and validate files.
Let it run and it will tell you that 2 files are missing and will have to be reacquired.
The issue seems to follow Steam, not New World itself. I have gone through every game I have and none of them will launch. Variations of solutions listed above do not solve the problem for me with regards to the posted anti-cheat errors, possible windows file corruption resolutions, game file corruption resolutions, etc.
Whet to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\New World\EasyAntiCheat
Then ran EasyAntiCheat_Setup
Clicked repair
Then steam updated and restarted after I was able to get in the game.
ive tried all of these and none have wroked from me. i also uninstalled and reinstalled the game and every time i launch from steam i get these issues can someone please help.image|439x253
I tried it again to make sure i wasnt crazy and clicked repair service and it said it was successful so i relaunched the game and still nothing got the same errors.
