EasyAnticheat Steam Update can't launch NW

The issue seems to follow Steam, not New World itself. I have gone through every game I have and none of them will launch. Variations of solutions listed above do not solve the problem for me with regards to the posted anti-cheat errors, possible windows file corruption resolutions, game file corruption resolutions, etc.

I can confirm that running EasyAntiCheat_Setup.exe under the game folder seems to work

As others have said: Go into New World install directory (or any game with EAC) and reinstalled EAC with setup given. Fixed it for some people.

same.

Whet to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\New World\EasyAntiCheat
Then ran EasyAntiCheat_Setup
Clicked repair
Then steam updated and restarted after I was able to get in the game.

Same problem here. Done all of the recommended fixes and reinstalled/repaired/verified multiple times and still the same error as above.

They’ve provided a fix here: https://forums.newworld.com/t/notice-unable-to-launch-new-world-due-to-eac-connection-error/350791?u=promaori

I tried it again to make sure i wasnt crazy and clicked repair service and it said it was successful so i relaunched the game and still nothing got the same errors.

My husband bought and downloaded the game. I searched for a good twenty minutes and this is the one that worked. Hopefully this reply will help others believe this is the genuine solution (at least for me) and not another troll post. Thank you for taking the time. My first post. :grinning:

Right click - properties - Local files - browse local files → EasyAntiCheat → move the certification folder to your desktop- launch new world. It should work so then close the game and move the certification back in the folder and relaunch the game. It should work from now on.

That is why I used google it will scan the file before you download it. I also zipped it so you could scan the zip before opening it. The file is directly from the steam folder. 100% safe.

check for updates and update your steam client. there is a fix on steams side.
