Trying to launch the game but as of this morning its not working. Have played up to 17 hours before, so it has worked before. try to play this morning and nothing. have tried the “EasyAntiCheat_Setup.exe” but still not working.

Can you tell me if you are getting an specific error when you try to lunch the game or what is happening.

i did get an error at one point, but after the first time that did not repeat, and i can not remember what it said. every time after though, New World begins to start, and then just closes. when i click on the "show hidden icons’ thing at the bottom of windows task bar there is a “!” indicator that says something to do with the easy anti cheat. This icon gives me no other information and dissapears as soon as i click on it. i have uninstalled New world and then reinstalled and that does not work. i have uninstalled STEAM and then reinstalled everything, and still have same trouble. i researched what i could and found an article that said to run the “EasyAntiCheat_Setup.exe”… i have done this multiple times and still nothing works.

Can you try this:
Uninstall the game. Delete these folders. Reinstall the game.
C:\Users(your comp name)\AppData\Local\AGS
C:\Users(your comp name)\AppData\Roaming\AGS
Also try this:
- From the Start/Windows Menu, select Settings.
- Select Network and Internet.
- In the Status section, under Change your network settings, select ‘Change adapter options’.
- When the Network Connections window opens, right click your network connection.
- Select Properties.
- Scroll to Internet Protocol version 6.
- Uncheck the Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6) box.
- Select OK to save your changes for the selected network adapter.
- Try launching the game again.
Should you still encounter this error and are on a Windows Preview Insider build, please roll back to a stable build of Windows 10 as we are not currently supporting Insider Builds during our Alpha testing.

ok. tried both options and still does not work. i no now get the error msg again and it says " Easy Anti-Cheat
game sevurity violation detected (#0000000D) [LightingService.exe]
and obviously still not working
The first option is to delete those folders and also reinstall the game. You try that in this moment? or you tried before?
tried before. but i did just delete the AGS folders, and then reinstall the whole game and still nothing.
I see you are having this error.
Do you have any RGB software? Easy Anti Cheat have some compatibility problems with some RGB softwares, try to disable it if you have it and try again.
To my knowledge i do not have any RGB programs, but maybe it came from the Razor software. BUT when i found it from the task manager, i ended the process. GOOD news is that it is now working. Thank you very much.

I’m glad to that works. Anti Cheat have that kind of problems, not only with RGB software, but the important is that you are able to play the game

As a senior citizen I reply on designating lights to my keys on my keyboard. How is cheating? LightningService.exe and ICue keep getting flagged by Easy Anti-Cheat but has no issues with my laptop and built in Steel Series keyboard that I can also designate lights to keys. New World, please fix this.
