So for example I use chain ice on my weapon. Why not we can slot for example fire damage gem (ruby). Just like how Attunement works. with attunement example Arboreal attunement, we were able to slot any type of elemental gem.

Tbh I actually wished the opposite was true. I wish Attunement and Shirking also locked you to use the same elemental gem,
I also wish that if you created a Runeglass Aquamarine, that you could only give it the Frozen RG effect, not other elements.
For that matter the Winter patterns should also only be allowed to use Ice craft mods.
It rubs be the wrong way when I see a Frozen Fang Bow (Winter Pattern Bow) with Arboreal Attunement and a Ignited Topaz Runeglass Gem slotted.
