Embossed Wrapping not found in game?

Hello, in this post it says that some legendary components are missing

What is official version then? I mean, it’s highly improbable that no one, at least from forums/reddit has ever found or heard that one has been found.
I’m especially curious about Embossed Wrapping
Also, why lost and not any other humanlike -corrupted or ancient?

Cause one guy is saying yes they are in the game, and the other one no it’s a bug that’s gonna be fixed… Have you dropped one by any chance?

I did some grinding today in various spots with lost type monsters in great cleave. No luck there. I’ll try a new spot tomorrow. i have an idea to check in mourningdale. I have a 3 day weekend coming up so lots of grinding to come

@Kryptid Are you able to provide similar intel on the “etched handguard” and “empowered counterbalance” items please? This would be greatly appreciated as I’ve been after them since launch. Thanks in advance!

  • if you check wikis/databases there are only a handful of deserted villages that have LOST enemies with 45+ mobs - 2 in reekwater (one of them is an abandoned finishing village and the second is some kind of a shipwreck in the top right but got town icon
    and one in Morningdale center.

The rest of the abandoned villages are filled with corrupted or ancient - which for me are as humanoid as a humanoid can get. I mean, a corrupted soldier or a skeleton is more humanoid than a ghost/wraith.
Another thing to point out that there are by wiki some named as abandoned towns - like Cragview and Hibbotfeld (top Mourningdale) - but those are with corrupted.

If anyone got any luck with this spots let us know.

P.S. I’ve got full luck heavy gear ready to clear out lost in the next few days, I’ve already done a few runs of each spot with Lost, but no luck.

As far as I know noone ever drop it.
Not in any server.
There is a ton of posts talking about this bug.
Even with the service reply I don’t think this is in the game.

The Bug is also already on the known issues list (Known Issues - New World)

There are plenty threads about this bug in this forum and its still not fixed for some weeks.

Exactly… Even by accident, if it was in the game, someone somewhere should have dropped it.

I saw someone wanting to sell an “etched handguard” yesterday on my server. They definitely drop. He said he got it from the Edengrove region

I still haven’t seen an embossed wrapping yet though

I am still waiting for someone to post a link here to an in-game proof of any of these weapons crafted or the material itself before I believe it.

I should have edited instead delete. But yes, I made a mistake, it was another item, so disregard.

In the last dev post they say :

“We are aware that some rare materials needed for crafting legendary items are dropping at very low rates. These include Beeswax, Runic Thread, Etched Handguard, Embossed Wrapping, and Empowered Counterbalance. We have an upcoming patch that will address most of these items and Beeswax will be addressed in a later update.”

So they don’t say items are not in the game, but have really, really low chances to drop.

Could this be the truth?
