I play as factionless and I find it pretty lame that you cannot enable PVP, get an azoth staff or access the PVP track without being in a faction… I play for the challenge and believe it would pretty epic to go into PVP mode as a factionless player. I am able to do OPR but because my PVP track is being leveled up it forever leaves the notification at the top of my screen with me being unable to do anything about it.

That 3 faction fights eachother in open world. thats why we pick faction.Opr 3v contents dont matter your faction.
i have a friend with same issue, as every color can sign up for any war, i don’t see a problem with it. You should be able to flag in open world. Faction thing is kind of just forced racism anyways, hating people for colors is so dumb. We should be able to kill anyone we want, id prefer no factions myself and war done by guilds only not whole factions and the enemy every war would be way more fun.

Your faction determines who you can attack and who you can help. It would completely break the game to try and code it to flag without a faction.

This will never happen, there are too many game systems relying on the factions.
AGS can’t afford to have huge factionless companies griefing the entire player base.
In fact NW was factionless at one point, and it was changed because of how toxic it became.

no companies no wars, only access to the PVP track and open world PVP mode. I can already do OPR, 3v3 and duels and I get progress on the track just cannot access it. there’s no harm in open world PVP for the factionless as there’s no actual damage that can be done.
Why not just join a faction? No benefits to being neutral. A lot of end game PvP content you are missing out on. Also the fort/territory bonuses you just can’t have factionless.
because nobody else does it. stand out when you don’t join a faction cause you cant do any quests past level 15 until you get the later quests popping up around 30. play for the challenge but some of factionless is just more punishing as the game forces you into a specific play style.
Open world pvp still matters, there are forts and influence systems at play. You interfere with those systems that rely on factions.

It’s a more punishing way to play the game that you do entirely by choice.
II made a suggestion in the past that there should be a “merc” faction that cannot hold sov/territory but can be slotted for any factions wars. Then make all other wars faction only based so that the end result is the only people that can be slotted is your faction + merc’s factions. You could event so really neat things like give them crazy gold bonus’s for war or invasion content.
more than likely the “factionless griefers” at this point would want to be in a faction for the benefits of faction store or simply having a company to back them up. but all AGS simply has to do is disable factionless users from entering any of the outpost and problem solved on them interfering with its capture.
Now you’re proposing they re-work how most of the game works just so you can play factionless. I’m really just wasting time since the server is down, but your request will likely never even be considered. You are an extreme outlier and AGS won’t invest their time and resources into pleasing outliers. I have personally never even seen a factionless player above lvl 15.
not really a rework a simple edit… they already have it disabled to enter if you have PVP off. all they gotta do is add a simple check if they are in a faction or not.
player faction: none = denied entry
