Encumbered, but walking faster than normal

  • What is your character name in New World: Ellieanna
  • What server/world did you experience your issue on: Dominora
  • Describe the issue you are experiencing: I get encumbered, and then my walking speed becomes extremely fast.
  • Is this a bug or an exploit: Both, means you can gather as much as you want and not be punished, but you can’t force it. Doesn’t happene every time. Dropping and item and picking it back up sometmes fixes it.
  • (if a bug) How did the issue effect your gameplay: Speed warping feels like it could result in being banned, and being unable to turn it off doesn’t help. It’s stupid that I have to drop resources when I can’t use what is available in game.
  • (if a bug) Were you able to recover from the issue: Sometimes.
  • (if a bug) Please include a screenshot or video of the issue that you have experienced: I don’t have the ability to give you a video, and a screenshot doesn’t show anything.
  • What are the steps to reproduce the issue as you experienced: Get encumbered, and see it if it happens.

This was noted as fixed after the first Beta. Still around, can confirm this as well.

it happen to me a few time already, and all the time when i pick too many thing on my storage or auction.

I have just managed to get this bug, and it wont go away, every time I get encumbered again it starts.
I got it by (from what I think) being encumbered and falling onto a basket I couldn’t stand on, then grabbing onto a ledge and climb up, after that it stayed.

Edit: After I wrote this I tried to restart the game and my computer, it seems that it did not fix the bug, my character still goes into that weird speed mode whenever I get encumbered, it is very annoying actually, I am dropping weight every time it happens to not abuse it.

LOL i actually got it finally.

it also lets you use your abilities even though you are encumbered
