Grind, Grind, Grind…Chest Runs…Expertise Grinds…Gypsum Runs…and Crafting. These should all be means to an actual End Game.
Raids and Dungeons. Dungeons should not take keys that you have to craft. They should be open dungeons that you could even queue into a random group if you do not have enough people to form a group. This is where people could earn gear instead of grinding.
Raids…RAIDS. How can you have an MMORPG and not have end-game content include raids? A 10 man, 20 man raid in Shattered Mountain would be perfect. The setting is there, yet you completely missed the mark. The end game should be something challenging and fun and not a complete grind. Where you can earn your rewards that are higher than what you can craft or buy off the AH. This should be based on the lore and story you have created. The quests direct you to complete your AZOTH Staff…yet then it is done? Where is the big bad? The new threat of the patch?
How fun is it to loot Obsidium Flux over and over and over and consider that end game? Have the developers actually played the game after the leveling experience? Are you having fun doing chest runs…mindless mob killing for Expertise…and griding materials over and over?
Do you want this to be a PVP only game or do you want the PVE to shine? PVP is ok atm…however add some more maps…Capture the Flag! Make a scenario where each side has to gather materials to build their stronghold and defend them from the other side. Oh and balance pvp…there is zero at the moment.
Seriously, if you want this to be a PVP-centric game, then you should change your marketing strategy if that is the case.
You are going to have to give things for people to do or this game will soon be like Rift, Aion, and the legions of other MMO’s that failed to hit the mark.
