Would anyone else be interested in spontaneous ambushes?
Where the AI swarm players unexpectedly.
This would add a sense of danger while players run across seemingly uninhabited areas.
Interesting concept. I look forward to what other players have to say about this idea! ![]()
Only if it happened in specific area’s where you know it might happen, this would be insanely annoying just anywhere in open world
Absolutely! I am all for any changes that help breathe some life into the environment of this game. Right now, the open world can definitely feel stale at times. The only random event that happens is gleamite falling from the sky, which is cool, but it’s only a seasonal thing that does not have much effect on the game.
Random AI spawns and AI doing things out of the ordinary would be very engaging and add a lot to the game. Guarded caravans, a small army traveling on roads, Lost getting into a scuffle with some Corrupted. There’s endless possibilities, but definitely get the AI more involved with the world and with players.
Corruption portals could also be reworked into something far more engaging. They could grow if not dealt with, and cause Corrupted to further encroach on the zone and maybe even attack towns.
This has kind of been added already in the leveling re-vamp, the lava vat traps in Corbenic Castle.
Would love to have static mobs flanking from above or a corner.
The world could definetely use some more mechanics/encounters.
I made this encounter in my WoW private server.
A troll camp, weak lower HP troll stood near a gong. If you didn’t kill him quick enough he would walk to the gong and hit it, giving a AOE buff to all mobs nearby increasing their aggro range, so you would get jumped by 2-3 mobs giving that sense of danger.
I got the inspiration from this Sekiro encounter and made it work in WoW.
Spontaneous would mean any time. But yes, there would be certain trigger places.
I like the idea, but without the aggro range. However, make it a total surprise.
