ENEMY vs ALLY Ability Indicators PLEASE

At this point in the game I should not have to GUESS if a Sacred Ground is friendly or enemy. This goes for Grav Wells, Ice Showers, Beacon etc…

All we need is a simple hue shift for enemy abilities. PLEASE AGS.

Thank you for the suggestion and feedback, I’ll pass it over to the development team. I can see how this can make navigating large battles, and fights in general a lot easier.

The game already has logic to determine whether or not the spell is your friendly or foe.

You will never see a Syndicate [Purple] healing a Murauder [Green]. A Murauder [Green] will never heal a Covenant [Yellow].

The game knows who placed the heal (I would hope it does?) I have never seen it heal the opponent from my point of view. With a ton of hours played.

The game already has a method of changing the hue of skill effects via filter effects. Color blind mode.

that’s not what he’s saying

I’m saying that there is already back-end work that knows if the spell is your team’s or not.

The ability to change the hue can be done. Color-blind mode is proof enough. Whether or not the developers can apply such a technique to show everybody in real-time ally and opponent effects is another story.

Another thing that would come up is applying the same changes across to the color blind modes.

they change all of our skin colors to blue and red so we can tell friend from foe why not friend from foe colors for heals/aoe

The back-end work for applying filters is already in the game.

The game knows who’s sacred ground or ice storm it is.

I’m not saying to turn on color-blind mode.

Yah the way they addressed this in WoW…if an AoE ability was used, and came from non-friendly fire…it would have a red tinge to it, slightly washed out with a more negative colour than if you had cast it

We really, really need this. Do you need to move out of that grav well? Or move toward that heal?

Just put a red hue or line on the ground for enemy AoE and we are GtG.

In eso we had the ability to actually edit friendly and enemy effects. Adjust their color and overall opacity. It helped a lot to determine things, I’d love a similar system or just Green for positive and red for negative. It’s something that has been brought up since beta, but not really acknowledged.

This is exactly what I’m saying.

Exactly! It would be a really nice QoL change, at least within OPR & Wars when there can be upwards of 20-30 aoe abilities in a given area.

Didn’t the developers answer this question somewhere many months ago? I seem to remember them saying it was more difficult from a technical point of view so they were working on it but it wouldn’t be coming any time soon.

This alone shows just how little effort is put in or how clueless devs are. This isn’t some new wild idea, literally any other game has this. It’s like the refuse to take ideas that have been proven to work from other games and keep trying to reinvent the wheel.
