You must be new on forum , every topic go off-topic pretty much
. Edit : if you want stay on topic there a bunch of perks that are lab’elled PvP that are sub-par ( invigorated , crit retribution, spear or bow skills on Focus armor ) + you need the right attribute combinaison
Not in this game…
Most MMO’s created a standard years ago for gear progression and legendary items should have fixed stats that are unique. There’s nothing special about a game flooding everyone with legendries left and right.
The are 3 huge mistakes the devs made when they released this game:
-Crafting can provide you with BIS items, making named items irrelevant which allowed bots to thrive
-Classless system with no restriction or deeper character build
-Factions being useless
- who cares about market? achieving good item by yourself is much better game experience than just RMT gold and going shopping spree
- why are you guys still holding people from reaching BiS? how are players supposed to progress and experiene further content when they are holded back by purple gear? let BiS be avaible for everyone, not just hardcore no-life players that spend 10h daily on the game ffs
Finnaly people who PvP only can do more than crafting
1- market is everything in MMOrpg(Massively multiplayer online role-playing game) everyone is part of the game. winners , losers , farmers , crafters and everything and GOLD (coin , economy) connect everyone in 1 place.maybe you understand now holy moly.
2- Nope im not holding anyone, i wish ican but I say this perk buckets are not enough for it. if you dont have time dont play mate. I was playing on anydesk from office when New world release so bye bye ![]()
Nonsense, I’ve been playing MMO’s for decades and by no stretch has the in game economy ever mattered much to me. Sure there are those that enjoy standing in some trading post all day and buying up and marking up everything even remotely of value but thats only a small percentage of players. Most players are more likely to use the trading post maybe once every day, have a quick peek, maybe sell some stuff and moving on with gameplay. Saying that an ingame economy is the backbone of any MMO is just silly. Especially seen how infested the NW economy is with RMTers. So no, you are wrong, the economy is not everything, its a small, thing, maybe even a very small thing, unless you chose to make it your focus.
Please look at the items you can upgrade for the third perks.
We will get the ability to upgrade gear from War Crates, Invasion Crates and Gypsum Casts from purple to legendary. And hopefully in the future we’ll see this change on a larger scale for all random purples in the game.
These items are bound on pickup and have a minimal effect on the economy!
its for you mate as you said but Im also playing MMORPG games for long time and my withness was “gold is everything”. holy moly and you will see after 2 weeks players going to down less than 1k. this will happen economy is everything.
Nope, you’re wrong. Gameplay, fun, community etc are everything in an MMO, not the ingame economy.
you will see ![]()
Correlation isnt the same as causality, this game has been bleeding players for ages, has nothing to do with the economy but you keep telling yourself that. Maybe some RMTers will agree with you but any serious gamer plays games, not economies.
Xdd
I tend to keep purple items that are useful (obvious ones) in storage in case I ever decide to switch to another build or just need a new item to fill a gap when I upgrade something else. You know, that sort of thing. I don’t tend to delete them if I may find them useful one day.
You can imagine this means I now have some items I may potentially get to roll up to legendary. Awesome! Exciting times ![]()
I just checked how many I have stored in the lifetime of my FSS character (several months of playing almost every day since launch) and it’s… maybe 20 items? I’ve sold or destroyed maybe three times that tops from the proc gen items I’ve gotten from mutations that I don’t think I’ll ever find useful (and I really mostly get the good stuff from there as I don’t run elite zergs every day so appreciate some other players will generate more than I do). But bear in mind that the vast majority of proc gen purple items I get (which are the minority, you tend to get more green and blue ones) are utter trash and represent the massive majority that I simply salvage on the spot.
I’m sure the market isn’t quaking in its boots at the prospect that I might roll maybe one BIS item in all of those 20 items I have (if I can even roll them to legendary, I’m not sure how I got them all).
And if it means that more 2 perk items sold on the market may now be bought as a prospective legendary item… Surely that will only be beneficial to the economy???
I get the impression most people arguing against this have it in their heads that all the purple items you see can get rolled up but the vast majority of items from mutations are fixed perks and the only way you’ll get the random 3rd perk on those is if you get them at 600gs on pickup. They’re not proc gen. The number of purple proc gen items you get from an M10 is maybe 4 or 5 and they’re almost always trash by RNG.
It’s so frustrating when positive stuff gets this sort of roadblock from wannabe expert economists who are concerned about their market value. Players will still need 2 perkers for the same things they need them for now. The chances of actually getting BIS on even a perfect 2 perker is still very low. You’ll still need scarabs to guarantee a 2 perker you need, with a chance of rolling it up (and I think that it should be possible for the person crafting the item to optionally roll it up to legendary when they craft it, using a set cost of shards - that’s a lot higher than standard, like several thousand - at the point of crafting, that binds the item to them - like a personal guaranteed legendary item every time but only for them).
The only issue I’m concerned about here is item marcation between those which can be rolled up and those which cannot. This is so important! If you look at any purple item, it’s so difficult to know if it qualifies for the 3rd perk at 600, even now. But with these changes it’ll become impossible for the average player to understand this. Or even know that it can be done at all! I had no clue you could roll up OPR weapons until this week, for example! Nothing in the game tells you this!
That needs to change so that when I’m looking at an item, be it one I found or one that’s being sold, that I know its true potential value. This is even more important because the value of these items will increase with the patch and if I can’t tell which can or cannot roll a 3rd perk then I’m going to waste a ton of gold and shards finding out the hard way.
Most BoP drops from mutations like bone wrought, garden keeper etc have chance to drop legendary so I guess If devs decided only BoP can get 3rd perk,I assume mutations drop will be exception
So let’s don’t worry too much about this new feature
No attunement = trash weapon
Attunement only obtainable from crafting or rng drops from m10s
This is already in game with opr caches and after literally 1000s of cache opens i have recieved 0 bis weapons because… no attunement
This changes nothing stop wasting your breath
True. They need a similar highly demanded armor perk that can only be crafted like attunement for weapons.
we won!
We are months from a full expansion with a big Expertise increase, this could mean big changes to gear, and a pre requisite to enter. People keep saying older MMO’s have done x and done Y to make gear progression better and NW fails, but the reality is, these old mmo’s also introduce ridiculously fast catch up mechanics in the months leading up to expansions and big gearscore increases do they not ?
Like WoW makes raid tier gearscore a trash drop from silly events etc
They need the player base to be all 625 before the expansion… and I know because of the vocal few on the forums everyone thinks that the majority are all 625 with 1 million shards, but this is not true, the majority are still working on 600 expertise.
So I think that may play a roll in why we are seeing a few of these recent speedy gear changes…
