Error- "no product information found", exhausted all trouble shooting options

Game was running fine for 6 hours, no issues.

Connected this morning for an hour, took a break, then tried to reconnect and got error message “no product information found, can not initialize game. Please contact customer service for this product”.

I did some trouble shooting:

  • Ensure that the Amazon and Steam accounts are linked.
  • Go to the install folder of the game, locate EasyAntiCheat folder, and Run it as admin.

  • Press Windows Key + R, type services.msc, and check that the EastAntiCheat service is not disabled. It should be set to manual or automatic.

  • Verify the Integrity of game files.

  • Disable IPv6.

  • Restart computer.

  • Reset modem.

Nothing worked, kept getting same error message. Opened a ticket with Amazon to report the problem and get advice. They asked me to uninstall and reinstall the game. I did that but it didn’t fix the problem.

They then asked me to send them the latest 3 game log files and the dxdiag file.

Instructions for generating a DxDiag: Open and run DxDiag.exe

Instructions for finding the in-game logs (Send the three most recent files):

  1. Press Windows+R on the keyboard, type %appdata% and press enter.
  2. Open the most recent file from this folder: /AppData/local/AGS/LogBackups.

Did that…

Now I am just waiting for the devs to give the tech team some direction.
“Currently there’s no time frame that was provided to us by the dev. team but our goal is to help resolve any problems you encounter as quickly as possible.”

The customer service response time has been really good actually. I hope I get some kind of time frame for how long it will take soon though  man tryna grind u kno

What Windows version is your PC operating on?

Is New World allowed through windows firewall?

  • Click the Start button, then type Windows Firewall in the Search box. Click Windows Firewall, and then click Allow a program or feature through Windows Firewall.

  • If you have the ability to edit, scroll down until you see “New World” or “newworld” and allow both through private.

  • If you can’t edit: Click the Change settings button. If a User Account Control window appears, click Yes, or enter your user name and password, then click OK.

Also, are you running a VPN while attempting to connect? If so, try to temporarily disable it.

Try a DNS flush:
Flushing DNS will clear any IP addresses or other DNS records from your cache. This can help resolve security, internet connectivity, and other issues.

  • Windows Key + R, type CMD, hit enter, or search windows, type CMD, right click, run as administrator.

  • On the command window, type ipconfig /flushdns

You should see a message confirming that the DNS Resolver Cache was successfully flushed.

Hi TrevrSmth, thanks for you assistance.

I’m running windows 10.

In the windows firewall new world had the public checkbox ticked but not the private one. I allowed private (left public checked as well). Didn’t work.

I also did the DNS flush, that didn’t work either :frowning:

Can you upload the log file? I believe the connection is not being established for a said json file, but just wanted to see what your log says.

also disable any antivirus software temporarily (other than windows).

How should I upload a log file here? I have the log files and the dxdiag file as well if that helps

I believe you can post the whole thing here, if not you can upload it to a file hosting website, I can download and review.

OMG!!! disabling Kasperky seems to have fixed it!!!

YOU ARE MY HERO!!!

You are very welcome! Glad to have helped <3

After reviewing some of the log’s others had, I believed it had to do with the game not being able to establish a connection to download the said JSON file needed, thus being linked to windows firewall/antivirus blocking the connection.
