Essence Rupture is not healing like the tool tip says it should be

  • Describe the issue you are experiencing: The Void Gauntlet skill “Essence Rupture” says that it heals anyone who hits the target of essence rupture for 20% of the damage done. It isn’t clear from the text whether it heals for the damage done by the caster of essence rupture or the damage done by the attacker. It doesn’t actually heal at all.

    Partner up with a person who has essence rupture in their void gauntlet tree. Get hurt. Have them cast essence rupture on a target and then beat on that target to see that you are not getting leech healing.

Solo test, it heals me, but… I know that the essence rupture don’t work in a few monsters.

And btw, since we are speaking about this ability, would it will be possible to change like, when you kill a monster the explosion comes earlier and gives the heal.

Because I see potential in ability, but most of the ppl don’t use its because it’s hard to hit, and when the mob / player dies it does not give the last healing.

That looks like normal life leech from a leeching ring and/or weapon. The text of the skill says the debuff leeches 20% of dmg which is more than you are being healed for I think.

I just came in to report this bug but found this thread instead.

This really needs to be fixed…it makes the ability useless.
The heal at the end is nice but I agree with an earlier post that if the target dies the heal should go off, not disappear (which makes the ability even more worthless)

I played around with it some and it does not seem to proc on chain effects. For example I cast the spell on a target and switched to spear. The first light attack gave decent life back but the second in the chain gave none. If I stuck to 1 attack it would proc each time. However if I did the old 1,2 the second attack would not proc.

Anyway, I hope that helps solve some issues.

I must reiterate, the heal needs to go off if the target dies. At worst it should stay on the dead body and go off at the 10 second mark.
