US East current player count is 138k with 200 servers, granting 400,000 capacity, it doesn’t have any players queued.
EU currently has 313k with 230 servers for 460,000 capacity, with 139k in queue.
Why is there still not an EU West, or a EU East, or Middle-East?
Players aren’t going to want to swap servers at this stage when there’s literally no difference in a region other than a queue timer… they’ve already got their companies set up, they’ve got their friends added, they know who they play with… asking them to migrate one by one to new servers with no other benefit than queue aversion is just poor planning - again.
Not to mention, they might have control of settlements, and all the rest…
There’s no point just adding new empty servers to a region that needs to be split.
WTf u talking about ?? at lest 10 servers with no queue. If i not had last week off work to play i would call myself a retard for not starting on new server on weekend.
Where’s the character transfer option?
If you only get one free transfer, why would anyone transfer to the same region when they should be standing up new regions?
I did anybody below 10 hours gameplay and whining about queue time is plain stupid. Plenty of servers to play since yuesterday with no queue.
Iw put in like 40 hours so not starting over just waiting for transfer option.
I’ve committed like 30 hours to the game already.
I’m not even anywhere near one of the highest 1000 players on my server.
There’s no motivation, at all, for any of those players to migrate to another server and start again… myself included.
This does not fix anything by spinning up new blank servers.
They need to bring new regions online so the player-base can be better divided over the servers in the respective regions - at the very least a better ping will motivate a lot more players to move to better regions and empty servers, than simply moving to an empty server to start again.
i am in a company which actually consists of two companies due to many players. we took windsward and managed to hold it since then, we are over 100 people all playing on a server that got installed/online later on (pyrandia). we already changed from one server to pyrandia, we don’t want to change again.
currently i am in queue on pyrandia, been there a few hours already. if i am lucky, i will get to play this evening…
yes, i am only lvl 19 right now but hey, i couldn’t get higher yet due to life happening and when life is not happening, i am in queue. this just sucks.
Got downvoted hard on reddit for stating thoses facts days ago sourcing this site : https://www.newworldstatus.com/ EU need(ed) more servers than NA.
Now, EU have more servers than NA, AWS reacted well but population need to spread now in order to know if server number is enough.
Another problem is cursing EU servers : language tag.
As stated on this post : Add more Language tags to existing EU servers
Please, adress this before character transfer
Kinda missing the point, bro…
In the OP I was stating that the capacity IS available, but nobody is moving because there’s no incentive to waste 20+ hours of gameplay by restarting, and then asking your 100 member company to do the same.
They should have stood up a second region, like the US has, so the EU servers can be split across both and the members can move over to their actual region for better connectivity and less language barrier divides.
NA (East+West) players in the game playing (not in queue) at NA prime time : 300k
EU players in the game playing (not in queue) at EU prime time : 240k
NA (East+West) players in the queue waiting for playing at the same prime time : 150k
EU players in the queue waiting for playing at the same prime time : 340k
Let’s add up the numbers :
NA total players : 450k (I rounded it up)
EU total players : 580k (I rounded it down)
Have the devs responded about a limit on new chars on each server? I’m on Gladsheim and it seems there are just new players spawning in every day even if the Q is around 2000 starting 12pm until after midnight which really isn’t helping the situation at all.
BiFrost isn’t on the ‘Server full capacity’ list either when it’s only a little bit of a smaller queue time of Hades and other popular servers, I can’t believe they are only putting full capacity for extreme cases.
