Everthing is so easy now

wrong again plenty of rpg that have de leveled worlds and progression less character development.

stop assuming your definition of the genre is the only one or even the right one.

literally I could play the game as a poor beggar moving from city to city begging for coin, take said coin hire a sellword to topple the ruling leaders of a territory and declare myself king and I’d be playing a rpg in an mmo setting w a journey of progression, wo ever stepping foot in a dungeon.

I could also play as a warrior sacking the lands or a gladiator in the fighting pits lowly and lowest of rank climbing my way to the top and being hailed as the coliseums mighty champion through sheer will of my combat prowess.

none of these things require me to go play fetch or a pre ordained amount of hours followed by bonking bots for another set number of hours to feel the weight of my journey.

just because some lack an imagination to create an internal narrative doesn’t mean everyone who does has to suffer.

again simplest compromise is to give the imagine less a theme park to play while those who are capable of more a sandbox to create.

World PvE and all PvP can exist for one group while the dungeon spam crowd can have their journey there.

easy? I have 2 thousand hours played and 200 in all professions and I’ve spent my money several times on craft and I never managed to make the item I want, but I play solo the items I get is just for me, so it’s easy for those who are from super companies

Until you throw PvP centric gameplay locked behind a massive multiple hundreds of hours of a 3 hour RNG PvE grind loop. People like yourself don’t want an RPG experience you people want a simulation of real life in a massive online world. The thing is, when you base your PvP system around that. It falls apart like a house of cards.

Because PvPers are not going to suffer at the hands of PvE for hundreds if not thousands of hours. No, they are going to play other MMORPGs that evolved from that archaic game design. That’ll only charge them at worst case scenario 50 hours of PvE grind to be COMPETITIVE in their PvP scenes.

PvPers want to fight other players. Not their time and money spent on RNG PvE progression. Which is why in the MMORPGs that evolved, have thrive and well populated PvP scenes.

Imagine going to compete in a softball game, where you have to wash 10 whole cars just to get a spin at the RNG wheel for gear. While the other team have corked bats and hopped up on steroids. How many times are you going go through that, before you quit and spend your time elsewhere?

People like you don’t want to fight other players. People like yourself, just want to use legal console-commands on players who don’t have them. Then pat yourself on the back. We have plenty of that IRL, 95% of PvPers coming home from a 12+ hours workday of that, don’t want that in their entertainment too. At that point these people might as well be the level 5 wolves NPCs.

Your ideal MMORPG just don’t mix well with the PvP crowd at large. Just look at the popularity BDO got when it’s Devs started putting standardized PvP modes. It was so successful that they made a completely equalized 3v3 arena. And let me tell you, even at 2 a.m. in the morning. I don’t have to wait longer than 3 minutes at best for a match. T1 Node Wars are the most popular mass scale PvP in that game. Leaving the RNG gear based modes lacking so much player interest that the few that do it. Have to script fights between each other.

I hope I got the point across to you and people of like mindset.

Lineage2 before F2P.full pvp and grind to lvl 1 at lvl80.
pve for pvp and pvp for pve , easy.
7 years for up to lvl.

so you want to be competitive from as early as possible yet not actually play the game itself.

this was a very early ‘cry’ , people wanted to buy gear but do nothing for coin, constant pleas for hand outs because they wanted to pvp at lvl 1 and have a chance against lvl 60’s

go play GW2 maybe?

nah I’ll still be here and leave feedback for scaled or progression less PvP or see boosts implemented.

not going to let a good sandbox go to waste to ppl who want to sit in town all day spamming LFG.

your definition on how to play the game is just different from mine. you can play your game in pve I’ll play mine in pvp and open world.

Very healthy and conductive to a thriving PvP scene in New World right? Yeah current experience says no. Only enough interest to support one or two OPR matches at a time, and 3v3 rarely kicking off. But yeah, keep up the good fight to keep PvP exclusive to no-lifer PvEers and tryhard exploiters and RMTers.

no no you misunderstand those players are the lifeblood of mmos all 20-40k of them they are the reason the game changed course in the first place cause they will stick around and are large enough to pay all the bills

I’ll pvp as well, but Im not going to if some lvl 1-10 dude is hitting for the same numbers
They’re not there for his faction or to contribute to the economy, he wants max gs , expertise from out of the gate, probably wants a lvl relevant care package because its un fair he has to heal with common health pots and food. I mean where does it end

Randomness doesn´t mean difficult. It´s just annoying. Tank n spank bosses are also not difficult, but just annoying in combination with bad drop rate.

Craftable BIS items are insane to get. (Also with 2 parts fixed). You still have 2 other perks + legy proc. ^^

lol not there to contribute xD.

homie get over it. Are you are so jealous or threatened of a newbie possibly coming in and playing the game at a level better than you?

literally no other reason to care most ppl when they join a large scale game play in a cooperative manner. those who don’t or arent willing find themselves confined to solo content or filtered out eventually anyway.

we went from my journey matters and progression matters to I’m threatened by anyone new who can do the same as me real fast.

no you’re just constantly appeasing your narrative by putting words in my mouth

I’m not threatened by you or jealous, why would I be

I just think you’re being lazy and entitled, which of course is about as new as pvp tears in every game on the planet i.e not really new at all

I made a comment about, if they plan to make a cap in the game at some level so that the game does not become so easy.
minutes later many people claiming why, if it was fine like that XD.
If they put a cap on some level, the player would be more prepared when they reach 60.
but always the same, those tryhards who want everything easy and get everything to stop playing in about 2 or 3 months, then say “I have everything in the game”.
They still don’t understand that it’s an MMO not a 2 month game.
in many MMOs get the best of the game takes months, in new world get it by buying from the market, just farming XD.

cool I think you have no life and hide behind mmos to simulate a life that you can’t seem to put an “effort and time” into building in the real world.

now that we’re done hurling insults at each other let’s get back to the point of the topic.

hardcore progression isn’t good for the bottom line, I’ll remind you and everyone else again this game shifted course once already for the sake of the bottom line.

I’m here to say they haven’t gone far enough and need to make it more casual friendly either by easing the grind or implementing cash shops boosts.

while I know easing the grind is problematic for PvE endgamers it isn’t for PvPers which is why I say the compromise is keep hardcore progression for djngeons, raids, world bosses etc etc.

but for any activity that involves PvP opt for scaled gear and HORIZONTAL progression.

That’s it. just that simple.

Sounds to me like you don’t like mmorpg’s, which is fine, but why are you playing one but not really wanting to play one?

You’re ‘issue’ is as old as the game itself so I’m really only repeating myself

good luck with your pleas, they’ve not worked in the past, but you never know

This game is full of players that consider fun tea-bagging others in PVP. This game is full of players that want to get an advantage over others by any means possible. This game is full of players that call you “lucky” or offend you when you beat them in PVP. It used to be a fun game mode where players compete against one another, now it’s just an excuse to get validation in real life. I don’t think these issues are restricted to this game only, it became the norm over time. Probably a new generation of gamers, who knows.

Dungeons used to be fun a few years back. They were hard but rewarding because you didn’t have great gear, hence why you did the dungeon. In this game you need BIS gear to do dungeons and the only reward are the shards…and you still might get kicked because the raid leader doesn’t like your build

Crafting is so boring and broken…this is why bots thrive in this game, because farming mats for crafting all day, every day, can make the best items in the game. It’s also an excuse for “the best” pvp players to join forces and abuse game mechanics

Whatever, what do I know

I love mmorpg that’s why I play the critically acclaimed mmorpg Final Fantasy 14, I also played Albion, testing fractured, keeping an eye on throne and liberty AND seeing if anyone will recreate what darkfall and DaOC did.

plenty of ways to build the genre, and same goes for rpgs in general from full on dnd style stat progression to more de leveled games like soulsborne.

as to your comment of the futility of my comments falling on deaf ears well…

funny cause I recall scaling in this game and I see it returning to opr on ptr, I see 2x xp for first time crafts, and remind me what will the combined effect of timeless shards and golden scarabs do for the games gear economy?

seems to me they spent so much time on the pve track that once it’s completed they will be looking for ideas for pvp track more closely.

ofc I dont expect it for at least a yr since they still need to tackle

25-60 MSQ rework
World PvE bosses
Raids
Housing and Roleplay

once that’s completed ye I very much think they will develop pvp on it’s on scaled/low progression track and I’ll be here to provide the feedback

Ezmode is the way of today’s gamer

RNG no-lifer, wallet warrior, was the way of yesterday’s gamer. Times have changed your game can either adapt or follow the same path as the others that refused to do so.
