Everyone on Zergs everywhere all at the same time

My server got merged with 5 others. Now (maybe until things settle down) there are ginormous Zerg trains flying around everywhere. Visit an elite stronghold and it’s a ghost town, all the bosses and breaches nowhere to be seen.

So how much of this was made possible by virtually free Azoth? Will the trains ever stop?

Why you wanna stop it?

The azoth cost being lowered really doesn’t have much to do with it. Was merged into a server where they had these massive zergs sometime back before the cost drop. They would simply zerg portals afterward to refill azoth. To say that the elite zones aren’t working as intended would be a understatement. Developers created a open world area and expected only upto 5 people parties to do it at once. Not sure where their logic was on that. On top of that there’s trolls out there youtube and twitch streaming themselves wiping those zergs. So yay for community building content.

I never said it should stop, more like wondering if it will ever stop. Like the last post said, it’s odd that this so clearly wasn’t anticipated and it seems to have become a huge influence in the game.

Maybe a lot of low pop servers had very few organized chest runs/world tours daily.

Now that it’s merged, this gave the opportunity to run them more often which fueled more interest.

A zerg is a large group of players rushing together to overwhelm enemies.
In new world, zergs are done to level up weapon expertise, and get elite chests,
Zergs tend to hit 5 to 6 elite zones that are level 58-66.
Basically its like a huge swarm of ants going down a path, clearing out and overwhelming everything.
Many who get to a certain point in expertise/skill etc. will stop doing zergs for other activites with better rewards.

Nah a Zerg is a creature from Starcraft.

You massed the small ones (Zerglings) in that game and overwhelmed the enemy by numbers.
That is where it comes from
