Where was the patch notes about making the hit box for bow smaller? I thought that was the big issue with the bow was all of the Matrix curving arrows. Did I miss reading those patch notes somwhere?

because thats the real issue imo
that was never part of the upcoming changes. So many posts have been made about them nerfing the wrong things on the bow. It is still going to be a low skiill dmg padding weapon but it just wont have any utility or use outside of that now
I think thats OK. You say padding but if you make sure to shoot targets that your melee/bruisers are hitting. Support your melee with a good amount of sustain pressure.
Anyone complaining about bow today will be complaining about bow tomorrow. AGS knows the weapon is in a decent spot, but they don’t know what to do about too many people playing it in OPR… I think they are hoping this will be enough. Ironically, they also nerfed the sns assassin, which is the best answer to bows (other than heavy armor and pocket healz… or a wall.).
We’re prolly gonna see a LOT of explosive arrows and rapid shots in OPR for a few days.

It’s literally 3 LA with a stagger on last shot, nothing out of common there and really unefficent vs Heavy armor people ( will see how new perk affect this ) Explosive arrow isn’t better than any FS AOE skills and by far weaker , stop with the cope pls

The skill itself isn’t changing, but check out the new weapon perk on PTR.
ALL 3 shots will get armor penetration. Somewhere in the 30% range.

Because the only thing people hate about the bow is getting pelted from far away in OPR. Rapid hits like a truck but most players don’t take it because you can’t cancel out of it. Now you can (and the perk does look super strong). The first two shots are easy and FAST. Most players will be content with hitting for 200% weapon damage in less than a second and then rolling out of the third shot.
Explosive just front loads damage (compared to poison) and will be flying towards every gravity well in sight.
I’m a bow player myself (leveled as bow/spear before it was cool) but most good bow players I’ve seen talk about the changes as a net buff.
I guess we’ll see.

I just think it will get more viable builds out. Before the patch , 95% of bow user were running ( pen shot , poison shot , RoA or evade depends if opr or wars ). It’s now open more builds overall, I wouldn’t call it a straight BUFF, I use rapid shot a lot I alrdy got my penetrating rapid shot bow ready but it’s not as OP said. Just go read he siad that rapid fire was the BEST skill in the game ( we can agree that’s a huge Kapp right ? / hello riposte /GW ). I don’t disagree about Thoses changes since splinter was used by no1. ( I’m also a spear / bow users for the entire 2k hours I play this game ) . It’s a nice change of pace for sure with some Qol needed. Edit : someone edited their comment , too bad I didn’t quote but was saying rapid shot best ability in the game
Bows and also muskets will and are at an good spot. Even better now with removed 1 shot combo builds vs 5 con builds.
When people scream that something’s OP… is it just a gut reaction to they got beat up real bad in OPR so want the weapon that killed them nerfed so they have a better shot of not dying?
IE… It’s not really OP at all. That person just played their toon better than you?
low skill dmg padding weapon? did you already played mage my friend? at least with bow you need to aim the psn shot and the rain of arrows, with ig/gs u not even need to aim LMAO, its way more easier to stat pad dmg

That’s exactly why SnS/Hatchet got several nerfs.
Low con players who tunnel vision were getting murdered by things they had no business dying to and that made them very, VERY upset.

Most good player imo just play bow because its more satisfying.

1000% why i play it and have cracked out my aim.
People always complain about how easy it is to land shots but, its mostly people like me that give it that rep most bow players just land shots out of probability. If you have 5 aiming at one guy some shots are going to land.
