NW has the best combat but lacks pvp content and the dev updates confirmed they cba with it

Jokes on you, i was that guy that did if we were missing players messaging players that signed for war if they want to get in, etc,…
I let so many casuals join our wars to have fun and try content only thing i wanted from them was to join discord and listen calls, which is really important.
Cant do that anymore because of new update.
So new restriction did ONLY gate this content for casuals even more.
I think a lot of people are not necessarily moving to other MMOs, but are definitely taking an extended break of 3-6 months from New World.
The game is just not in great shape currently and with no major updates on the horizon at the moment of posting this comment, the overall mood is at a low point for most PvP players atleast.
Obviously there was an expected break during christmas, but we really need to see some big changes and fixes coming in with the next PTR. If the next one or two months are letdowns again, we might see some more drastic dips in overall population pretty soon.

This is probably the core problem the game has. With a clearly limited dev team and resources the game should have focused on its PVP system. That is what DAoC did to survive as long as it did with a limited dev team and funding. By focusing on creating good PVP systems you give players the tools to create endless content for themselves.
To do PVE theme park right you need WoW level budget/team.

Oh, I promise you haha people moved to other MMOs. I know plenty firsthand and I almost see chats in other MMOs daily that are trashing New World. Funniest part? They’re not even usually complaining about the PvP.
Let me clarify: from what I’ve seen, they definitely don’t think the PvP features are good either… that’s just not the main reason they no longer play the game like a lot of people here seem to think. It’s usually because of New World’s lack of QoL features and RPG fluff.

its true, the pvp is good. Because the game mechanics are good. But the pvp content is stale. OPR WAR and ARENA. No differing maps. No differing game modes. No reason to open world pvp.

GW2 has been around for a few years, ave you heard of it? Have you played it?

TBH GW2 is another game that stopped focusing on its PVP enough also. I have like 2000 matches on my engineer and another 1500+ on warrior and a bunch more spread across the other classes but what I really loved was WvWvW and they stopped updating it and when I’ve gone back it’s just so much less action than what I remember, and I get sad and log out again.
I played it a shitload at launch for quite a while though. Still have some old fraps clips of guild battles in WvWvW and such.
Maybe its my server though, JQ used to be in the top 3 battling for top server spot and it’s not anymore. Is it poppin on the top 3 servers?
Im not playing any games , new world was the only game that had my interest but lack of pvp co ntent pushed me away, too many issues that still goomg on for a year … … new world ended my gaming career lol
imagine if they leave the game they would also leave the forum,bunch of crybabys wants to use forum as if its their twitter account.

I am on Desolation and there seems to be action 24/7 in WvWvW. But I mainly play arena atm.

Yes… because giving feedback is “bad”.
You should be happy some players care enough to bother trying to reach out to AGS to fix their game haha because seriously, the majority of players/gamers are not on the forums. So imagine how many silently or even in other games bash New World/AGS, talk crap, discouraging other people from possibly playing it, instead of posting it here where AGS can see and maybe improve their game based off what they’re reading?

Good point that people forget all the time. Complaining / giving feedback means you still care and want the game to be good / get better. Just leaving as klas suggests is worst case scenario for the game.
