Not really clear what the reason would be to actually craft something like this except to use up useless materials you got from an Expedition.
Previously (and currently) for less effort you can get a random overland drop that supercedes the gear score.
And now with Gypsum you can open a Cast and get a GS >500 piece every day.
One way to make it more relevant is to unlock the skin of the Replica item that’s crafted.
And of course you can encourage people to do it with an achievement for unlocking the full set of skins. Lots of players like to chase things like achievements even if they have no significant benefit other than vague bragging rights.
@GrailQuest Really good suggestion. Having more control over a player’s appearances (aka Transmogs) is a very popular request. The Dev Team is aware of this and have stated that it is something they would like to add to New World. I am adding your suggestion to that feedback.
Tempest Replicas are actually very good to craft as they craft at 597-600. I basically craft the armors using the Resilent Perk, and make lots of BiS gear for myself. Because it can the roll Resilient+Refreshing/Invigorated+Armor perk, fairly consistently.
@MinerTarv I wish the other Replicas were given the same treatment to craft at 597-600.
I, 100%, agree. I end up crafting Heavy head and Heavy Chest mostly. But the devs don’t see a problem with this other stats on Replica Gear. It was raised before in feedback, but they just ignore it. Light is the worse, INT+FOC, literally only one weapon scales with both, the VG. For medium, I do craft the Dryad one’s sometimes, but then use a armor perk as craft mod and try and roll for Resilient+Refreshing evasion, but it is not ideal and all the other replicas lack resilient.
Besides making all the Replicas craft at 597-600, they should also make the light and medium recipes craft with CON instead of the split stats.
They should also add Resilent to the perk pool of all the Replicas @Aenwyn
Also why I recommend they allow Retrofitting, to have a chance to make all gear continuously relevant, reduce RNG, and work steadily toward BIS and maximum gear score.
