Problem:

With each new weapon, that gets introduced to the game, the player has to start the expertise grind again.

This reduces the excitement of this new and meaningful content.

It is demotivating and nullifies the hard work players put into the expertise system.
Possible solutions (top of my head):

Remove cooldown on gypsum casts. This would let us stockpile gypsum orbs in anticipation of new weapons, to then quickly bump them to high expertise.

Introduce a catch-up mechanic. For each weapon at maximum expertise, give us a bonus on expertise bumps for all other weapons.

e.g. I have 0 weapons at 600 expertise = bumps stays as is.

e.g. I have 1 weapon at 600 expertise = bumps for remaining weapons get a 1.2 modifier.

e.g. I have 2 weapons at 600 expertise = bumps for remaining weapons get a 1.4 modifier.
