This is working as intended.
The expertise bumps you get are not in any way shape or form tied to what you equip or even have leveled. Any item that drops can increase expertise. The bad luck protection is on a per slot basis. You see enough of the particular slot or weapon type drop eventually you will get a bump.
But, yeah we’ve all gone through it where we had streaks where our highest expertise item wsnt even a weapon we use or have leveled. Just how it works.
Sorry but I’m still confused. If I get a bump for a weapon that I don’t have equipped is that bump lost or will it be there if I equip that weapon later? Thanks.
Look at your weapon skills tab, each weapon will list it’s expertise. You get bumps for looted weapons that are higher than that current number or if you craft a level 600 piece of gear and you’re not level 600 for that slot (GS600 event patterns excluded).
