The game is pretty much already unofficially P2W. You serious don’t think people are buying 1Mil+/BiS items from quests that pays like 250 coin each? Hell no, they go to sites like playerauctions and pay like $800 to get the coin to buy each BiS item. $200 will get you an item with 2 good perks.
AGS might as well just directly sell power to the players.
There are different types of gypsum sure but I can only make one cast per item or weapon. And I want to level two weapons for a new build so I can only use two gypsum’s per day. I will take me a month till I can play with a new build.

I can’t believe people still defend the expertise system. This game is filled with bad gates, bad math. Full of needlessly unfun poorly thought out trash that makes rewards feel like garbage.
The expertise system which I don’t need anyway is total trash. Grind before you can grind, or you will get less for grinding. No sweat go do an epic weapon quest, na those weapons are complete garbage for the amount of time you spend doing them, can’t even be upgraded. faction gear is so woefully bad, you would be a moron to ever purchase it in the games current state.
I mean lets be real the progression in the game is completely scuffed, and poorly designed, the crafting is horrible rng filled nonsense. I guess it’s ok because it’s an mmo. No it’s not! That is just a lame excuse, by people defending mediocrity, which is the part that is really aggravating because the game has potential.
I have been playing since the start if you need expertise I do not mind helping you since I have more orbs built up overtime then I will ever be able to use, and continue making them every chance I get, one of the few things worthwhile in the faction shop is the orbs, chisels, converters, and runes of holding, everything else in the faction shop, is completely worthless trash, in the games current state.
Just be ready to run genesis until your eyes bleed. Everything is fine!
It stuns growth for new players and hurts the longevity of the game for sure. They need to attract some players back and not scare them away with expertise grinds! Honestly if the poor decisions don’t kill the game, the bugs might. Very sad to see this ship sink.
This. Expertise sytem by lowering player GS does kill the game in long time. Drop items GS based on expertise is fine and should stay. But scalling part is bad for the game. Bad for any1 still playing this game. Bad for developers working on the game. Bad for the players wanting to return to the game. Bad for the players wanting to buy the game.
Look genius, MMOs are not designed to be practical and efficient. If you want to login a game and be ready to PvP, you play a FPS. No MMO is going to let you skip the grind and progression.
Expertise is not flawless, but is simple and relatively quick now. Anyone complaining either hasn’t played in months, or is a terrible player / human being.
And you are wrong. From game design perspective you cant allow to block players come back to the game by some mechanics. I mean you could - nw is example. But then your game will bleed out players. Over time you lose more and more players and they can’t come back since they are to much behind or are somehow locked away from game mode they want to play. So they wont get back.
Its cool you like to grind. But you cant play this game alone. We need game to be user friendly when it comes to gettting back after few months break.
I think easy idea id to change first of three level mutation it is Useless anyway after 600GS for now. Best IDEA for that way is first mutations 1-3 change for lower GS than now, mby it should be starting at 550? 570, 590 and that mutations if u go for that will give you 1,5-2x more expertise for doing it. Than normal dung. It is some idea for something News and News players to grind. and such a thing would not hurt anyone. Because if not to punish Gear score like 550 in mutations like now. Its will be easy to do it l.
@Artur351 New World could completely keep the endgame grind. But it needs venues for players who haven’t completed the 600+ hour grind to start the next 400+ hour grind. To take breaks from the grind to have fun on the way to endgame.
Right now, not having content of such. Makes New World non-competitive in the market. When you compare it to GW2, ESO, FFXIV, and Lost Ark. Even BDO now has these features in the form of T1 Node Wars and Seasonal characters only Red Battlefield. Also BDO since about 8 or 12 months ago has catchup mechanics, that’ll make New World blush.
If New World refuse to let non-whales, and non-sweats have fun in game. Which makes up about 95% or more of the gaming industry. Those people will simply skip New World and go play those other MMOs that have those features. It’s pretty simple.
You can all write essays all days but you have no substance to your claims.
No one in game complains about expertise, it seems to only be a thing from retired players that don’t realise how easy it is to clear.
If I just hit 60 this is what I’d do to catch up quick:
buy ultra cheap 590+ gear, just with resil if necessary
do a few daily gypsums, probably diamond, emerald, topaz and maybe obs
spam normal expeditions
pay for 2-3 mutator runs, netting me 18k shards
Casually playing every other day for an hour or two, should get you to 617 expertise in a month. If that’s too hard then you should not be playing an MMO.
Expertise has nothing to do with end game grind, that would be umbral shards.
Expertise is just a silly design that makes new under gear scored level 60 players, play the same content as already maxed expertise players, for less reward. Yup that’s right! They work harder doing the same content, for less reward. Sure sounds like fun, we should all reroll, and do it again.
Correct most of them quit instead. I however play daily do not need expertise, but will continue to say BS when people defend a bad system.
Again, I’m a casual player, a solo player and I do my 6 gypsum every day and take some expertise bump sometime with OPR rewards. It’s not that difficult.
Removing this mechanic is not a solution for me, after saying that you can make proposal to improve the system. If you’re, I don’t know, a ressource farmer for your guild for example and it takes all your game time, may be you should ask for the removing off the gypsum daily limit, to be able to progress while contributing to your guild.
The same could be said for PVP players that would like to progress only via PVP by removing the daily limit of gypsum on OPR.
Make proposal on evolution of the game, but don’t ask for the removing of a mechanic that is core of the game since the beginning.
