- What is your character name in New World: Kojan
- What server/world did you experience your issue on: Euphrates
- Describe the issue you are experiencing: In simple, not sure if this is intended or an exploit, but if you list an item on a trading post, you can only BUY it in that trading post as posts are not connected; however, you can list 2000 lumber in First Light (as an example), recall to your inn/house in ANY other town, cancel the trade, and BAM! all your lumber is back in your bag in the new town? This makes the faction transfers between controlled warehouses irrelevant and looks like a major exploit. In theory, cancelling a trade SHOULD return all items to the warehouse in the town where the trade was created.
- Is this a bug or an exploit: Exploit
Of all things, this is what you are reporting? You work for Amazon, don’t you?

nice catch
I would assume this is because there may be issues with people with full storage and this mitigates loosing your items if they are on your person.
@DynoXious and @Rezz could very well be as intended as I mentioned. I personally like the way it is but it just strikes me as exploitive with the warehouse features in the game. We are all aware the game has its issues and even “good” or “convenient” exploits still need to be addressed but I would not suggest this as high priority or anything with the other glaring issues to be resolved.
It’s been like this since launch. It is not a bug neither a glitch. It is the way it works.
If you recall, your inventory does not matter anyway. You can just take your lumber with you and save the Trading Post fee…
It’s like the “exploit” that lets you get steel from items that have lumber as main ingredient: Sounds like an exploit, but is totally useless in practice. If you “exploit” that, you can also cut out the middle man and just throw some of your gold away.
Encumbrance…
Exactly what I was thinking. looool
Who poo’d in your cereal this morning
this guy …
This has been a thing since the beginning. It’s not an exploit since it’s intentionally designed to allow you to cancel auction items from any other trading post and those items are returned to your satchel. There’s no way NW isn’t aware of this. I’m not saying it shouldn’t be changed just that you need to know it’s not an exploit.
The intentionally block you from buying or selling items from one trading post to another. But they intentionally don’t block you from cancelling your auctions from any trading post.
This is a minor exploit, you are still charged for the placement fee
