EXPLOIT: Create multiple characters on same server with 1 copy of the game.
Description:
Amazon Games is not aware of this Steam functionality. I am not doing this but Steam lets you play same game more than once, and play characters on same server. You can have multiple Steam “family accounts” under 1 steam account that lets you play multiple characters same server. Not sure if this is oversight between Amazon Games and Steam.
This can be abused by creating multiple characters questing on same server to collect gold and trade between friends to funnel money into one character. This also is unfair to folks who can only create 1 character on each server.
Believe if you check, you can not play the game with multiple family accounts at the same time.
Long as they cant play at the same time on 1 game key then really is a non-issue other then bypassing the character limits, but IF they can… then yeah thats a big issue.
This topic is a perfect example also how the staff have ‘no clue’, on the fact you dont allow exploits to be publicaly readable by anyone other then the creator 'cuz now EVERYONE knows it… #facepalm
Correct not at the same time but able to make multiple characters on same server is still workaround that lets players swap alot of gold around for 1 license of the game.
well thats derp on them… cuz anyone can do it there is no ‘exclusiveness’ to this.
How do you expect to move gold or anything when 1 character can only be logged on at the same time? This would require a 3rd party regardless so tbh that’s a non-issue as it can be done by anyone anytime.
I get what you mean and your point but likely from their perspective is they dont care as they see that as supposed to be ‘another person physically’ and if you are otherwise, then that means you are breaking your Steam TOS and EULA.
