[EXPLOIT] Gamebreaking invincibility exploit! Works in Wars

the same logic literally applies to taking back towns that have been claimed by people who lack the skill to take it normally.

The only problem with that is that attacking and defending are two different animals. We had a fully upgraded citadel that shouldn’t have been easy to take, but since they exploited, now THEY have a fully leveled citadel that they didn’t pay for and is extremely difficult to attack. It’s definitely not a fair fight and we already tried attacking a citadel once before and it’s not easy. It’s FAR easier to to defend.

I agree it’s not fair, but logically if the exploit is the only reason they are winning, shouldn’t have much of an issue with skilled players, right? Sure, might take a few tries but- it’s not impossible.

Either way, I do agree with the sentiment that these people should be stripped of their illgotten gains and possibly even more so- but the problem is how do they go about getting ahold of these people at the moment. Given the nature of the bug- I’m skeptical that they’d have a method of detecting it without player fed reports.

You would punish your entire server’s population, eliminating all of their work for hours + days… just to return ownership of your town? Yes it sucks, but that is a very selfish solution. Declare war, accept that MMOs have bugs early on, and take your town back.

Does this rely on triggering the hatchet invincibility, or is it a separate buff granted when moving the window?

It was the hatchet invincibility looping. I say was because it was patched this morning.

Amount of exploits and bugs is insane in that game. On my server people start to unite in exploit guilds LOL.

What about problem with hatchet attacks animation skip? Is it going to be fixed?

still a problem. patch didn’t do anything. companies using this and exploiting lag to take no damage on point. capturing the settlement in practically 5 minutes. when reviewing the end of war stats screen, those companies did nothing. no damage, all low total points. insane and gamebreaking. war is broken and AGS doesn’t have the talent to fix it.

Confusing response because many of these issues were reported back in the betas - but you did not seem to think it was important to fix them then.

it is because they seem to have developed it using mostly client side authentication for actions - so basically, enjoy exploiting because they screwed it up dev side.

Sadly still a thing. Lost a region today due to organised bug abusing with 20+ people standing still at flag invulnerable

Same stuff happened on Ismarus Theta EU, Sanor EU, Themyscara, Vanaheim XI EU. How have we seen nothing about it yet?

That’s a different exploit. New one has to do with creating lagg using ice gauntlets and other spammable aoe spells.

How are you disabling/nerfing anything that could actually be giving us a little bit too much rewards (outpost rush, corruption portals, refining materials, fishing chests) yet ignore stuff that ends whole factions.

We lost 3! territories due to invincibility exploit and most of the faction just quit the game as fighting people with godmode is not exactly fun.

You should have INSTANTLY disabled wars.

not even going to mention that the cheaters have not and will not be banned.

Ditto on Runeberg, Green just won every war back to back this week and now controls most of the map.

PVP exploit has been fixed PVE Should have been fixed today. We had 2 Wars in the last 2 days and we saw no evidence of this cheat causing a issue. IG lag was a thing but It was just Lag in general didn’t seem to make the War one sided in any way. Both sides got the lag from it.

At this point anyone who loses a War since this exploit was found blames it on the exploit. The only window freeze exploit that was still working as of a few days ago was working in PVE not PVP and it was still damage stacking when you let go of the window and clicked back into the game. the only way to stop it was roll dodge but server side you would still accumulate damage and die in PVP when you unfroze so it hasn’t really been a Issue.

Everyone complaining about the other War parties using IG lag to Win is just using it as and excuse for failure as both sides get that lag during war and both sides tend to be spamming IG.
I am part of no company that owns a territory and my faction is in the minority on our server so im not supporting a faction here that would be using any exploits if they existed anymore.

You are wrong we testet the invincibility with icegauntlet yesterday in PVP an it worked pretty fine. I didnt test it after the patch now, but until yesterday it was still possible. It doesnt matter if the damage is stacked, you just stand on the flag in war until its taken and then you get the damage fine.

And about the Lag-Exploit, its not the same. It makes a big difference whether you intentionally cause a lag and use it so that the enemy cannot do any damage or whether unexpectedly everyone is just standing around at war and you get damage out of nothing.

The first is exploiting a bug and the second is affected by the bug, one difference.
