I’m totally agreeing to that. It’s a bit sad that ppl just rant about others farming.
@Deleted: So please explain - how do you know when it is an exploit and when it isn’t one. Do you count the seconds between respwan or do you just know it? Besides the respwan rates are intentional and xp is not really higher than other xp-grinds.
Funny thing is, in a few days/weeks xp does not matter anyway. And the only reason why it is even considered a problem is that the company system is a bit imbalanced - to much gain and to low of a cost.
Respawn rates are like this it seems because they tried to implement it so that people wouldn’t be spending forever waiting for certain mobs to spawn. This makes sense in that context, the more people there are in that zone the faster they spawn. But it’s different when people start abusing that mechanic in other areas in the game, how do you know whether something is an exploit or not? Like I wrote, when something seems like that’s not how it was intended to be used and is instead abused. You wrote that the exp is not really higher than other exp grinds I assume you mean just the combat exp, which I don’t even think is the main goal behind this, but the skinning is, and it is much higher when you look at that and compare it to other gathering skills and at the rates they level, if you can level a profession to 200 in an hour that doesn’t seem wrong to you?
The materials this also inserts into the market will devalue leveling other professions like outfitting, this usually happens over a much longer time in an MMORPG, the amount of money earned now can then be used to acquire more territory, it doesn’t just affect the 1-60 grind if that’s what you were thinking, it’s a domino effect if you ask me.
Does it matter in a few days/weeks? We’ll just have to see I suppose.
@Aslanftw Firstly I explained how the situation could be fixed, this obviously being the most important thing.
More importantly take some time to think about the consequences of requesting someone being banned for what “you deem” an exploit, this while not as bad as most modern day SJW requesting people be sacked, it is on the same line of thinking.
All that needs to be done here is the fixing of some bugs, nothing more.
Don’t bother explaining. These 2 are probably the ones who abuse this exploit. It’s crystal clear to everyone who isn’t playing MMO for their 1st time that it’s an expout. They will go on and ask you to prove them wrong and define what is an exploit what is good and what is bad even on philosophycal level.
The concerning fact is that amazon KNOWS about this but there is still no statement. As you can see they even answer in threads with few posts. But this one with most views on forum is still unanswered.
@Dracmire there are tons of solution examples already. Consequences for the normal players or consequences for the company? For Blizzard every bot in WoW is a subscription. Baning them would be beneficial for normal players but not for the company.
I see you agree that exploiting knowing that it’s an exploit deserves a ban which is stated in the agreement. So all that’s left is to prove that it’s an actual exploit which funnily enough some streamers who use this method call it an exploit themselves. But the most streamers are just being paid and gonna quit the game pretty soon they don’t care about anything fyi.
there is another spot people abusing the instant respawn of a boss in a cemetary allowing people to keep leeching xp loot gold and level up to 60 without doing any real work and whole clans have used this i found it last night. i do think some spawns should be faster but not instant for a boss to allow people to keep leeching xp, loot gold and azoth without any real skills or effort while people have legit grinded their way honestly and not exploited their way to the end
@Aslanftw
So explaining giving facts is less important to you, you would prefer feelings and hate.
Personally most of my leveling has been from gathering and crafting which I love in this game. If I wanted to just kill things I’d do portals, better xp and more engaging then standing in one place clicking a mouse button. But each to their own.
Just doing my part to get this noticed and fixed!
I know everyone should play the game the way they want to and its sad playing this way can give such an advantage with little risk and effort. I hope people are punished for this action and its not like a blizzard punishment where its still more efficient to use it and take the 24hr ban. One can sit here for and hour and get a weapon 0-15+ that shouldnt be a feature.
this is the one that still being majorly abused by companys and players allowing them to get lv60 in no time or maxxed weapon skills with minimal effort.
The xp from it isn’t even that great. People were doing it on my server and I tried it out for a bit, only to go back to deadman’s cove and get more xp from that.
If it’s in the game, and it’s a game mechanic, then you can’t be banned for taking advantage of the game’s mechanics, can you? Lol
OMG, i wish the bear spawn was like that.
wow, lucky group.
My experience of that horrible quest spawn was running up there and then sat around for 10minutes waiting with a group of other people.
It spawned, the bear slapped someone to very low HP and then it died while being kited around by that guy, then a few more people showed up.
This video looks like they had a better time than me.
Isn’t this the same streamer who was accused of view botting tho??? Not really surprised. If you go watch his stream, he doesn’t have many people viewing or chatting, yet had a shit ton of views.
Ok if there is a whole guild, I doubt every single person can get their skinning profession to 200, this might be true for a single person but not for 20+.
Also imho skinning is the easiest to level because in nearly every quest you have to kill some mobs - about 1/3 of that you can skin. As far as I saw it - most ppl only killed mobs and did no skinning at all. The mats might devalue a bit yes, but all in all the “thick skin” is bound to be cheaper because in higher level areas you only get this and not the “raw hide” anymore. Also while the one might devalue the other is bound to rise because you need it. Also I am usually a big fan of low prices for mats - this d
The amount of money is probably insignificant because if the problem would be so severe as you mentioned the prices would be crushed more or less instantly. Also I do not know about your server but on our server the companies that got the first area are “ruling” - because if you just compare the earnings with the expensures there you see the imbalance I talked about.
I don’t really feel like turning this into a circlejerk, you’re putting words in my mouth like I’m saying it’s severe… I said it’s a domino effect, I never called it severe, but it does have consequences. This post picks out one or 2 parts of my reply to you and ignores the rest for your convenience and touches on those that don’t matter in the slightest. Like, I do agree that skinning is already easier to level, the higher level ones give 600 xp per drop, comparing that to for example fishing where you mostly get 100-200 xp, it’s a no brainer that skinning is faster compared to that, it’s also totally not the point.
Again I’ll ask, in an MMORPG is it normal to you to be able to max out a skill in an hour or 2? If yes, we have totally different game experiences and it’s pointless. Also, this spiel about 20+ people benefitting is off the mark as well, it doesn’t matter if one person is skinning them or the entire group that’s there, the group is there to increase spawn rate and abuse a mechanic in place though when you look at the stats it’s very doubtful that “this might be true for a single person but not for 20+”.
Here’s some stats, as a 200 fisher there’s 0.1% that have that steam achievement, but globally it shows 0%, globally it shows 0% for 200 mining, 0% for logging, 0% for harvesting. and 3.3% of the playerbase shows as having 200 skinning, all pumping materials in the market. The fact that there’s such a divide between gathering skills should speak for itself.
So agreed why punish other players in mass ammount when other games didn’t aka destiny’s loot cave if amazon wants to keep a player base and not loose players to endwalker or lose ark… New world shouldn’t kick happy first few weeks of launch over old bugs that showed up. I still remember how they pushed this game back for polish 3 times. And no one went ok reported for exploting consumers time windows jokingly i see no legit reason to ban anyone for this server side issue as it’s server coding errors not a players errors. No knr hacked or modded the game code gods to break and be banned imo amazon issue this. Free pass next time after all exploits bugs whatever you call are all gone if someone abuses one after only after fixes with out reporting then ban but temporarily. It’s fair that way.
Can confirm, the entirety of the syndicate faction on my server is abusing this as well. Playing on Kay Pacha US East, the effects of the syndicate faction abusing this has caused them to be extremely over-leveled compared to anyone else NOT using this exploit. They are able to stomp out any war effort made against them, spawn camping due to overwhelming power is a common occurrence.
They don’t even try to deny it, many people call them out in global chat and they admit to the accusations. Server will slowly die to purple since no-one likes getting constantly stomped/ganked to over leveled exploiters.
it is a little odd, on other games, when theres a game breaking bug or exploit, they take servers down and fix it. so far i think this server has only had 1 maintaince day. I dunno if this is still happening, but I hope its fixed.
