Exploration and mini-bosses not worthwhile

During Traitorous Weaponry I explored deeper and went into the cave where there was some kind of miniboss.
Who was boring and seemed to fight like a regular mob type.
Loot drop completely forgettable and I think I ended up Salvaging all of the gear.

Would like exploration to be much more rewarding if someone goes the extra mile.

I’m only lv 20 and scored a really nice blue quality ice gauntlet with all the right stats and a great little gem. It’s just rng. Sometimes you score, sometimes not
