I currently have it “on”, but I’ll try turning it “off” as you suggested.
I will say I don’t think it will work, because when it’s “on”, it caps the FPS at 60, and the issue I’m describing brings down my FPS all the way to 3 FPS. I’ll let you know though.
It also seems to start the fps loss before death actually occurs on my screen. Like my dodge action feels like it should occur but the fps loss starts and then death screen.
Or the fps makes it feel like I should have time for the dodge?
I get this in OPR and it’s super annoying to see the fighting going on around me at 5-10 fps with lots of skipping. The final screen that shows the weapon used skips frames a bunch as the weapon passes from the right side of the screen to the left. I’d much rather things just go black or something.
I have some more information that might be useful to the devs. Can you pass it on? Someone mentioned on reddit that it seems to happen after you get AFK kicked and rejoin the server. So I tested it. I got AFK kicked, and I rejoined the server (without closing the game application.) I joined OPR, and I got the slow FPS bug on death instantly. So I’m thinking this could be either THE cause, of one of the major causes of it. Can you confirm you received this update and add it to the ticket you’re sending to the devs? It should make it a lot easier for them to fix.
Got memory_management BSOD on a 1 fps deathscreen yesterday with this bug in opr. Probably my ram sticks melting. Not blaming NW but yea uh should be looked into asap. This fps lag happens on both my pc’s.
If you’re astute, you might also notice small mini freezes or stutters during your normal OPR gameplay. This symptom is also caused by being afk kicked.
I have same issue when my characters health drops past 25%. It starts to lag and fps drops to about 10 fps. And on OPR game mode. I dont play wars so dont know if it would do it there too.
I resently started playing opr and try to learn how to play pvp in this game. I hope they fix this fast.
I did get my lag fixed. At least its not lagging when i drop close to 0% health. Now it lags little bit after i died, so it doesnt matter anymore.
How did i fix it:
Not sure witch one did it, but here is both i did to fix it.
I had Nvidia NIS enabled and i disabled in windows 10 setting called: Hardware-accelerated gpu scheduling in graphics settings. Turn both off did it for me.
I hope this helps someone else also.
Second thing i notice that when playing long gaming session, game starts to get laggy. And need to start game again(whole game). Frst couple of hours it works good and uses about 4.5gb ram. And after you have played many hours it uses allmoust 7,5gb of ram. So maybe memory leak.
I’ve been running kernel debuggers lately and capturing packets. I’ve noticed UDP send and receive double there rate when this happens. I’ve also noticed issues with AMDh264 encoding that presents runtime errors setting the correct values. Mines trying 30000/1001 or something odd.
Yah something is seriously messed up when the game AFK kicks you, it introduces this atrocious performance bug. This is one of those bugs that needed to be caught early, and should have a high priority on fixing since it affects everybody and causes major performance issues. I’m surprised they didn’t hot fix it, considering how bad it is.
Yeah, I really don’t know. Was it developed for certain hardware only? I got the error again right after the NewWorldLauncher.exe gets it’s ProcID. [AMFH264AsyncEncoderMF] Error: …........\runtime\src\mft\vceencoder\H… I’m taking a screenshot actually.
