Up until last night I was getting great fps 140-165 everywhere. I closed the game to go to sleep, Steam updated, and when I booted up the game again, my fps is absolutely terrible. 10 fps in settlements and 30-40 outside of them with drops lower than that. I have done nothing to change any gpu or pc settings since. WTF happened?
I’m not sure what happened exactly but I had the same issue and to be honest. I just capped my shit to 60 and dropped everything to High settings and that fixed it for me
What do you mean “fixed” ? Are you able to turn your settings back to what they were before? I play on different settings frequently so I dont want to be forced to use only 1 setting all the time due to a problem with the game.
not fixed at all, he just worked around it but the problem is still there
with my issue of being 4-9 fps in main screen and in game, i had to uninstall windows and reinstall the os, then the driver and the game. i really hope you get it figured out. if that doesnt help then i really dont know.
Same issue here. Thought I was just imagining it until I saw this thread. Lost about 10fps and get a lot of stutters. Nothing has changed with my PC setup.

Guys, I purchased New World for my buddy & he was having these extreme FPS issues. He was only getting 6 FPS on the main menu & the same in the game. He’s got a pretty beastly PC, his PC specs are an AMD Ryzen 3700X with Nvidia 2070 Super. We figured out how to fix the issues. He works from home and uses a program called “Citrix” for work. Once he uninstalled Citrix everything works fine now.

Yeah, sorry. “fixed” was the wrong word. Definitely a work-around.
This is by no means a good solution but it does work for everyone till now that i know has tried it.
To fix the performance issue after having tried everything else is FORMATTING YOUR PC and update all you’re drivers with “driver easy” after you’ve wiped your HDD/SSD clean, so dont just format to put a clean windows on it.
I also have my RTX3080 undervolted and my power capped to 80% along with capping FPS at 60. I should not have to do these things. I paid good money to have a card this powerful just to have one of the best looking games be the one I can’t look at as intended. -_-
dude we’ve tried all that. The 1.0.2 patch was the one that broke the game for me. Now unable to get above 7 fps, even in menus, when previously 100 was no problem. Still getting 240 fps in WoW…

2 of us over here with the exact same issue after patch. It’s like the graphics are now pixelated to hell and the lag is unreal.
my FPS are stable at 60 but the textures of trees , bush and some other object load badly. its like they pop from low to hi res in my FoV

So I have to completely reset my PC in order to get back to normal fps? there’s no other way?
There is no way I’m resetting my system for one game. I’m getting 60 FPS minimum on all other games, except this one. I’m locked at under 8fps. Nothing I’ve done to date has fixed this. (which includes following their articles to troubleshoot performance issues, low framerates, lag etc. as well as NVIDIA’s guidance for settings on my GTX 1060 6GB)
I’ve submitted a ticket which was (shockingly) not helpful. Their suggestion was to add a 3d profile in Nvidia’s control panel for New World, which I’ve already done, and select “High performance” in the dropdown. I worked on all three settings I have available for my card, tweaking them each separately and in all combinations.
Adding a comment to join those also suffering from this issue. Hopefully, enough of us have it they can find a solution other than the nuclear reset.

Citrix has never been installed on my machine and I’m having massive (fps dropped by more than half…avg 100fps dropped to avg 45fps) performance issue since the most recent patch.
