Have the server reset everyday at 5am. Will flush the server of all afk players that decided to just afk while they sleep.

Or maybe some kind of afk detection that would fix it? Like 20 minutes of running on a spot → disconnect

If there are legitimate bots in the game Amazon should ban the accounts and do what’s necessary to stop it.
If we are talking about players who don’t want to sit through a queue to log-in that’s on the Devs. Do whatever gaming companies do to solve the problem, spend some money and fix it. Amazon should not have this kind of problem if they want to be a AAA Game Developer.
Punishing players for wanting to play your game seems ridiculous.
Thats just it, they aren’t playing the game.
AFKING for 8 hours or more … you are just taking up the slot for someone else thats trying to actively play.

There’s no reason in the year 2021 that New World can’t provide a quality game that all can play when they want. Amazon made the choice not to provide a premium game experience and it hurt their customers. I hope they will do better in the future.
Really interesting to hear your point of view as a programmer. Especially one that’s watched every launch of every mmo ever. Even cyberpunk is having issues here and there and that game out a year ago. Ppl need to lighten up.
