I do support the concept to support the faction minority but with a cavate: Whatever the benefit is determined then it should be sublime and anonymous. AGS stated they want to help those factions be able to declare war and eluded to the idea to generate additional PVP mission points; to the objective ends to assist in the mechanic process to declare wars.
The added PVP point accumulation process should be sublime and anonymous. AGS has not yet defined what a “minority faction” is, or what their considering. Until AGS announces what satisfies their definition, we could only speculate here. However, AGS has defined the problem: Minority factions have difficulty declaring wars. Their expressed working solution would be to improve the opportunity for Companies to declare war, and by association, earn territory control.
Under extreme conditions the minority faction would need everyone’s participation for their faction to gain traction to declaring war and controlling territories and towns. Therefore, why not convert a small portion of the non-PVP mission completions towards their PVP scoring. On this line of rationale, I suggest a percentage conversion process where non-PVP mission points have a small percentage converted into the faction’s PVP score.
This would be a sublime and anonymous process since the faction status may change over the history of the server; and the mechanic would help active PVP companies declare wars. There would be no “advertising” the minority advantage since the process occurs behind the scenes, and changing based on the parameters defined by AGS.
