Faction shop top tier gear is outdated

What you can buy now should help you overcome the next promotion.
What you can buy at the current promotion should be better than what you used to overcome the promotion challenge.
Otherwise there is simply nothing to look forward to in terms of gear, especially when you have to pay gobs of gold to buy it on top of faction tokens.

The top-tier gear is probably less than what you actually need to complete the final promotion, and it’s not even clear that you can complete it solo without being grossly overgeared.
Plus now you need Expertise to actually access the gear’s 525 ratng. So in fact it is clearly outdated gear with a level rating of 58.

Options
(1) Make the promotion easier
(2) Make the faction shop cost only tokens, no gold (except for Expedition Orb materials maybe)
(3) Improve the gear offerings

Thanks for the feedback regarding faction shop gear. I can see how this can definitely make progression feel a little wonky for newer level 60s.

IMO they should have raised this gear to 590 and usable at 590 regardless of expertise level a long time ago. This would help new players at least be okish in pvp. As it is now I’ve seen 5 people quit over the last month just because their gear score sucked and they couldnt have any fun like that.
