I feel like theres no real reason to actually be in a faction except for if you want a territory or to be able to have the Fort buffs of theyre controlled by your faction. I lnow the controlling Company of a faction should have a say on what buffs are ran for that settlement but what happens when the company doesnt run any buffs? You shouldnt have to sell your house cuz they suck at managing that settlement.
Maybe adding a way for us to vote as a faction or even be able to outright pay for the buff with our own gold to activate the buff, even if its a little more gold than the company owning the settlement.
To add maybe add a FACTION WAR between companies in same faction to gain control wouldnt be so bad either.
