Factions - Preventing perpetual underdogs?

Man… we picked the wrong faction on our server, by far. That really rang true over the last two days of pvp battling.

I remember a game called PlanetSide that had a pretty good mechanic when unbalanced faction issues came up. It applied bonuses and such that gave the underdogs a shot, to combat the Zerg.

Right now on our server, yellow is a monster, followed by green, us purples are tiny, own nothing, and keep getting owned due to sheer numbers. I see nothing mechanic wise right now that will help combat that or that gives us hope of ever turning the tide. We will continue to be the underdog going forward, on this server, or so it seems. When that 120 day mark hits, watch out, I’m sure people will flee purple to either yellow/green crazy fast. Who wants to be on a losing team that has no way to overcome sheer numbers. Also, if we get new players and they look at the map, why would they join and help our perpetually losing side?

Kinda stinks. Fun gameplay but this will get old real fast.

What are your thoughts on helping give underdog Factions some sort of help?

Would be nice if they limited the amount of towns each faction could own at once so it was strategic. As well a a cap on faction members. But alas… no balance yet. Pretty much the name of the game.

all you need are 50 savages to win a war and own a territory. organize your faction.

Thats exactly what I am thinking and for open world pvp I would just suggest to pick the fights, not going to the super populated points of the map try to find people with their pants down…if you are the underdog you fight dirty with guerilla warfare and that acctualy makes it more interesting than going with a 5 man
