I just encountered this error moments ago. I had just left my PC in sleep mode for the last 12+ hours, so I restarted it. This solved the issue, I’m able to log in to New World again.
same here us west celadon server. tried the refresh, server was grayed out and unpickable ( or was picked by default) esc to main menu and tried no go, tried restarting the game no go. wth is going on? the war and exploits were bad already due to dumb people using them which causes a whole ton of people to lose land… and amazon games not disabling wars until fixed ( which i am sure has cost them a ton of players already) but now its doing this.
Faction chat got muted so I logged to correct the bug issue and then it tells me failed login or no login ticket found…wtf is this shit? 2.5hrs of game play just gone and now I got nothing to fuckin stream? Why are we doing this at midnight anyways. Do it at like 3am CT or some shit.
It should work again boys, just tested it and got in.
Be aware the steam servers are still quite unstable so you might have to try it a couple of times.
Working for me now too. Had same errors. Was unable to login to my Amazon account here to even post, and steam was also not logging in. Related? Seems too much of a coincidence to not be related.
That’s possible. This might be extra work for AGS, but I think they should implement a fallback solution.
If they can’t contact Steam or the game is launched without Steam wrapper, it should present the user with a standard login screen to let them enter username and password. Relying on 3rd party to handle authentication is a cheap and lazy cop-out.
Lol, I’m happy you are not part of the security team. Handling out the authentication to a 3rd party is the thing to do. Saving/handling accounts yourself is a bad thing from a security standpoint. And this is not even touching the DRM & bans.
Also it seems a lot of work for something that is working 99,99% of the time.
I’m really happy you aren’t part of the security team. Sharing out any sensitive information to 3rd party is a huge issue. Like, a business-breaking issue that would cause any ITSec Exec flip their lid. Next time please try to avoid commenting on things you have no clue about.
Have a nice day!
