Fairness for all not just the PVP crowd

It’s sad that the ones who cry the loudest get their way even if its wrong and impacts others. And it seems the PVP crowd is the ones who cry the loudest. So changes made based on the PVP content creeps into the PVE players.

I DO NOT PVP, nor do I have any intention of doing PVP in this game. So why should us PVE only players be hampered by changes made to the PVP players? I am trying hard not to be negative so please keep comments and replies positive.

So many of the Gold NPC in the game have a bit to high of a health pool. And getting heals nerfed does not help. When a NPC can hit for upwards of 1900+ damage, how is a player supposed to solo these areas. Not everyone has friends. I am in a good company and we do things together all the time. But they are not always around due to other obligations in life. So for me to go thru an area solo that the mobs are hitting that hard and have 10k+ health and going against 2-3 at a time. Not everyone can do it. Try running Caminus solo lol. I have but it was a handful.

I hear blocking does wonders for your HP bar

Idk, seems fair to not want the PvE nerfed for the sake of PvP. I don’t think thats PvPers crying though to want fairness, however anyone saying PvP changes should leak into PvE is delusional IMO.

TBF most of the things that are being balanced aren’t what the PVPers with brains want (except maybe sacred ground), most of the guys I talk to about PVP want either war performance to be massively improved to see what actually needs to be balanced or want the retardo lunge/melee assist and autorun removed.

My brain isn’t able to comprehend what he’s even asking for.

That he wants PvE bonuses?
That he wants mobs that look/act more humanlike to be nerfed?
Or that he wants to clear Myrk by himself to gather materials/loot?

Like what has the pvp crowd to do with all this, wat XD

Caminus and Scorpius are basically the easiest elite zones of that nature to solo(out of the lvl 50+ ones the 580 quests will send you to). I should know I’ve done so far 7 of those quests to completion largely solo and have another 5 on the last step in Myrkguard.

Other areas like Mangled Heights or Scorched Mines, you just need to group up with someone, just how it is. Unless you are well equipped and a very good player, because even Myrk is mostly soloable in those conditions.

None of this has anything to do with pvp or anything they request though.

As a fellow PvE’er, I do support increasing the amount of PvP content. Unfortunately, the two most common suggestions I see are either Full Open World PvP, or, Open Zone PvP with resources that can only be available in that area, or, severely limited in nonPvP areas.

I am against the open world idea, and I am against resources ONLY available in a PvP zone. I do not, however, have any issues with some resources being more plentiful in a PvP area.

For me, I prefer to solo or duo most content. My wife plays NW as well, and we make a good team. We always run together and we find that for the most part, NW is fairly well balanced for that play style.

I would like to see all expeditions lift their party size requirement. Keep the difficulty the same, but remove the requirement to have 3 or more players. For example, there is no reason why a lvl 60 couldn’t breeze through Armine, forcing a party of 3 to do it is ridiculous.

I would also like to see more PvP content added. For example regular 1v1, 2v2, 5v5 etc tournaments. Some form of zone specific battle arenas. I would like to see a greater diversity in PvP faction quests, etc. For example if Everfall is upgrading its Forge, allow other factions to conduct PvP missions to slow the upgrade. Basically a counter to the work board. Things like that.

As for the gold elite mobs, in my experience the truly difficult ones have warnings when you enter the zone indicating recommended level and group size, so I am ok with where that stands. Unfortunately, if we made everything scaled around the idea of solo play only, it will make it far to easy when duo’ed or grouped up.

Just my two bits.

Dodge and block.

At this point, I hope it is obvious to all PVE players that the game only has PVE as a tech demo.

Underneath all that marketing, it is still a PVP game where you can grind for better stats to win in PVP. Ironically repelling actual hardcore PVP players by not providing fair starting conditions for new comers.

But the crucial problem here is not the quality of PVP, it was this one fatal decisions to believe PVP players alone can sustainably fund one of the most expensive theme park MMOs.

Without the “casual” player or the “solo mmo” player, extremely expensive games like this one cannot break even. Squeezing a bit of PVE into a PVP driven game was a fatal miscalculation.

Rust works, Final Fantasy works, New World does not and I feel AGS is running out of time to make U-turns.

I think he’s determined that heals were nerfed due to pvp reasons. Since this nerf he is no longer able to solo PvE content that he was able to before.

One hit on a life staff and the staff goes down unfortunately
