Fast respawn times are ridiculous

What’s wrong with respawn times? This is one of the worst tuning I ever seen, from beta we mainly wanted increased respawn times for animals and elite mobs for quests, and nothing changed. But you increased respawn rate for regular NPCs in the world and thanks to that, game is annoying to play.

Quests like Disarmament which was pain in the a*s already in beta is now even worse, I’m playing tank build for leveling and my damage is so low so I can’t kill NPCs fast enough, and it’s almost impossible to get there and do the quest. And not only this… it’s overall annoying and it already makes me want to exit the game.

It’ll be already 14 days from release and nothing changed, and I’m not first one and definitely not last who’s complaining about this issue.

I have to say right now I’m not having fun in Great Cleave where is already very high density of open world NPC’s, together with fast respawn times it’s getting ridiculous, annoying, sad and not fun. It makes me mad and you’re making me even more mad because it looks like you have no plans to do something with it.

  1. The respawn timer for regular mobs is WAY off the charts. It enforces a non strategic hack and slay playstyle. Ranged builds and low dps builds are at a serious disadvantage and it makes questing in certain areas NO FUN AT ALL and quite often almost impossible. As a ranged class you often have to kite your opponent - combine this with the also ridiculous aggro range of most mobs and you end up rubberbanding into the next group of enemies and constantly fighting off respawn. This needs to be adressed at high priority, because it dictates a key element of gameplay and ruins alot!

  2. Great Cleave as a questing area is very poorly designed! Period! What were you thinking??
    Mob density, aggro range and respawn timer all work to your disadvantage and having to frequently kill large quantities of mobs is a quest design taken from the middle ages of mmorpg.
    From everything I´ve seen in plenty of other MMOs - this area and design is the worst! And I’m being serious here.
    Honestly, this area feels like someone was running out of time and had to desperately come up with something so players at 40+ can get some EP. The area doesn’t even look good.

  3. Quest design overall is way to repetitive. Its just boring and annoying to go and clear village X and search for (meaning madly and randomly running around) X numbers of chests. Cmon! You really cant come up with anything better than that? If you really feel you have to stick to that idea, at least mark the individual chest locations.

How could this possibly make it though QA? Do they think the 45+ zones are just packed with hundreds of people at the same time? I am almost always the only one questing in the areas I’m in and as a healer the questing has literally become impossible. Why do the NW devs think things need to respawn in 10 seconds?
What an absolute blunder of a failed design decision. Honestly, figure it the fuck out Amazon. This is pathetic in its current state.

This is super annoying. I can’t complete quests that are my level without the help of someone else if i’m needing to search chests because you just can’t kill mobs in densely packed areas fast enough to give you a chance to loot.

I shouldn’t have to spend my time playing getting into tricky spots to try fall onto and loot chests before the mobs have a chance to hit me.

It’s not fun and this needs to be addressed.

Yes I agree. I appreciate the fast respawn times in many cases but there are times where you have to clear your way to an objective through many mobs only to have them respawn right behind. It is problematic when there are close concentrations of mobs.

P.S. I will most likely have to give up the game if it is not fixed.

I have to agree that enemies in certain places respawn too quickly. Playing as a Spear/Bow and my wife as Sword/Hatchets both at level 60 we are burning groups of mobs in level 40/50 areas quickly and the whole area respawns as fast as we kill them with a few seconds delay. Playing solo the same areas seem to be just us killing non stop and grabbing things as the respawn is happening right next to us with barely any delay.

So many quests I’ve had to just completely give up on or set aside until I vastly out level them so i can just headbutt my way through to kill an elite and loot a chest while i aggro 4 other “nearby” mobs.

Given how many threads there are on this, it’s a real shame it wasn’t addressed whatsoever in today’s patch.
